Very impressive, especially considering the equipment you have to work with.

Thank you sir.

The next one, I'm going to make out of $3.00 Chinese Coil Jig, using it as my base material. It is SS (I hope it is) and it is already a 6.3mm hexagon shaped, so no more tailstock milling.

Sorry dude, I'm just an amateur hobbyist playing with my own toys. I don't think I'm qualified to make and sell parts. But, we do have a professional amongst us. Hint: Starts with "B" ands with "T" :toast:

B.T.W., I did buy three SubOhm kits, because I want those PEEK insulators, but I can send you the pin that comes in the kit as soon as it arrives. Do you want it?

Haha nope it's fine! I was just messing with you. The last thing I want is for a mod to harass you for selling stuff :p

I'm good. Where didcha get those from? The v4 thread was talking about how the vaportek 4s + peek sets aren't actually a 4s kit in terms of airflow

Ouch. That's where I ordered them from. Haven't got them yet.

I was bored yesterday, looking at Orchids on FT, then I remembered I had a dual coil RTA, so I decided to dust off my Fogger v4.1 (I think its a 4.4). I picked it up back in October of last year from a local B&M when I first started vaping, built on it once (30g 1ohm built for iStick), rewicked twice, probably had run maybe 4 tanks of juice through it, and its been on a shelf since November.

First thing I did was vape the remaining bit of juice out of the tank, which was still pretty good (surprised me). Took it apart for a good cleaning, noticed the center post screw that holds the positive part of the deck in had a little rust around it, so I disassembled the base completely, and cleaned it all up.

I noticed the air intake holes were tiny compared to the holes on the deck. They looked to be maybe 1.5mm, while the holes on the deck were closer to 2.4, or 2.5mm (just rough guesses based upon drill bits I stuck in the holes). Got out the drill, and a 5/64 bit, and went to town on the side intake air holes. Now they are close to 2mm on each side, which I think should be sufficient based on the chimney diameter.

Built two 26g coils around a 2mm screwdriver, came out to around .47 ohm. Wicked it up with a little Japanese cotton, probably slightly too much as I keep taking primer puffs to get the wicking going. I probably would have tried a 28g dual coil build on it, but I don't have any, so 26g it was, hopefully I don't melt the insulators.

A bit late to the party now that the v6 is out, but now I'm really liking this v4.4, a lot, vapor is excellent, good flavor, good production, maybe I will finally get my money's worth out of it (overpaid at B&M out the gate). I can't seem to find the AFC ring thing, so it looks a bit dumb on a mech, but whatever.

Oh, and @AMDTrucking, that "Mucho Aire" looks awesome, good job, mucho jelly.

^ my 4.4 was the same: tiny tiny side airhole. After opening all airholes up to 7/64, the draw is damn near perfect for me. Vapor production is off the charts too

Nice, I may have to get the drill back out, haha. I figured with the diameter of the chimney 5/64 was fine, but I'll try 3/32, and then maybe 7/64. Did you modify the chimney at all?

----

I'm slowly catching up on this thread, from around the time the 4.1s came out, seems rayon was all the rage with these, may have to try that next.

After working with strictly KF4 clones for the last month, I keep thinking to myself "Where are all the parts at? That's it? That can't be it..Did I drop something??"

Nope. I just drilled out the airholes on the deck, and the horizontal holes on the base. :)

Hey Kiwi, I just received my S-kits from VaportekUSA.com , looks like they are really Subohm kits. The one on the left is a stock pin and insulator for reference.
