Fogger V4!!

Well. Son of a. I knew I jinxed myself when I said I've dropped my fogger and never had an issue.

im jealous that you guys are enjoying your foggers. i have V4.3? (larger deck, smaller juice channels). it wicks great, makes clouds, and the vapor tastes amazing. I just cant get it to stop leaking from the air holes. ive tried all the different wicking styles with both cotton and rayon. im using 50/50 or 40pg/60vg liquid.

I had to go up in coil size to get the right amount of wicking material to cover the juice channels. All of my Foggers have 2.2mm coils, which seems to work out pretty good on all of the versions. Obviously, with the 4.3 you have more room for even bigger coils, so more wick to plug up those damn channels, and still allow enough room for good air flow around the coils. I've been wanting to try some monster size coils in my 4.3, but I haven't got around to it yet.

The one thing that really help me was switching to Rayon, that made everything better! I especially like not having to re-wick these damn things so often!!

Leaking means you need just a little bit more wick. ..

As far as rebuildable atomizer tanks go, this thing is only as hard as building 2 kf's I've never built a ProTank but I've hit one and if rather build ten Fv4's than be stuck using any pt.

Make that 1.4ohm 30 ga build and you'll be good to go.

All I can say Tbev is that a Protank with cellulose is an awesome, easy, convenient, way to have a decent vape. With the stock wicks, they're OK, but with cellulose they're really good.

I use larger diameter coils with rayon, seems to feed coils great, but I trim my wicks down at the tails.

As I'm waiting on the rayon to get in, I hear that the wicks last longer, but do you clean it any? Typically, every other day when I change flavors, I remove my cotton and replace it. Would I just rinse the rayon and go?

I use a 12 gauge needle for everything I've built, so far, including the V4.1. 12 gauge is .0808 inches or 2.053 mm. How far down the channels does your wick go?

Half way down.but they should be cut half as thin as well.

I consider myself a "Protank building expert" (seriously, I have 19 of the damn things including eVods and knock-offs) I've built them every way imaginable trying to get the best flavor, vapor, power, longevity, etc. I've got builds that'll work great on a low power Ego, and I've got builds that'll chain vape at 20 watts! but I haven't used one of the damn things since I got my Foggers going. When I used KFs and Gennys I didn't mind the slight step down to my Protanks. But to go from the Fogger down to the Protank is just too much of a downgrade for me now. I still use my Gennys just because they're some really cool looking tanks, and they hit pretty good. But the PTs and KFs are collecting dust.

You can pretty much get DOUBLE the wick life with Rayon! (when you get it right) I've never tried rinsing my wicks with water. Whenever I need to rewick, it's because the coils are gunked up and it's time for a dry burn. (the Rayon wick is always still in great shape, but it's kinda hard to dry-burn with it in the coil, LOL!)

Now I run a flavor down as much as I can, add like 1/4 tank of next juice, run thru that to get the tank clear of the last flavor, then fill. Did that make sense?

That 12ga needle should work pretty good. I USUALLY don't put any wick in the channels. But the last couple of rewicks I tried it about halfway down, and it worked great...until the second tank full, then I started getting dry hits on both of the Foggers that I wicked like that! (I guess I need to practice some more with that style of wicking)

I tried, for giggles, on my clone TOBH 26650. Had it wrapped with a pretty good .4ohm dual setup, and just ran the whole thing under the faucet. Was running VCV Vanilla custard, which darkened the wick quite a bit. Al of it came right out, wicks were as white as if new. Just a tiny bit of darkening right at the coils themselves. Let it air dry overnight, and no taste difference from brand new.

Or if you are chain vaping some 2 month steeped Bobas
I can taste that my wicks need changing and I wick only Rayon. It's such a simple thing to do. Also, I will open it up in between fills after the 3rd or 4th fill and pull the wick slightly from the coil to see if there is any burn marks or burn residue where the wick contacts the inner coil. Usually with Rayon, there is never any burn residue. If there is not enough wick in the coil it will leave burn residue and you will taste it immediately...most of the time.
