The first time I saw it I thought it was a joke, just done pos to make suckers out of all the guys who complain about " those impossibly stupid little screws"... If it's awesome I'd love to know....
Welp. The post holes are gonna be a good enough selling point for the people who struggle with wrapping their leads on a fogger. The juice wells are also said to be significantly deeper and bigger. Now that I do believe will make a significant difference. I think a lot of folks are struggling with figuring how much wick to put in the channel or even not at all, but experiencing leak etc. It'll be easier to get the wicking right on a orchid IMO
Totally agree. However someone posted earlier about if they had to go back to using thumbscrews they'd stop vaping. I feel the same way about these tiny allen wrench screws. I hate those things with a passion. I either round off the wrench or the socket. I suppose they could be replaced with Phillips head screws but the other problem is if the holes for the leads aren't drilled at the bottom of the threads the screws will cut off the leads which is totally frustrating. Hopefully these will be better..
The big thing to me is filling looks easier, I assume you fill then push top cap on. Now I do like that. No tools, Finally someone gets it. That is truly an improvement.
No airflow control just juice control.
This from the add I thought was interesting:
•Don't build the coils too hot as the juice might not travel fast enough resulting in a dry hit
•Don't over use cotton to prevent flooding
Same thing can be said of Fogger but what I find interesting is for the last week or so I have been enjoying the Kaiser and it wicks juice like crazy. Short wick length and is killer with Rayon. My Foggers are now collecting dust.
Oh. Dude. Words cannot sufficiently express my hatred for thumb screws and those wrench/grub screws. (Along with those damned 32ga kanthal).
Also didn't realize the orchid doesn't have AFC. Deal breaker right there for me.

wait wait wait...there's a copper version now? Anyone know if its plated and polished or will it patina?
I posted some pics awhile back when Yiloong emailed me. I believe it's electroplated. I wanted to mix n match parts for the Stingray X.

Those allens should. Replaced with stainless screws so they don't rust, trucker has posted a link to them in this thread and said that a good ten times, BTW the stainless screws are Phillips
The Wolverine, Russian 91% v3 clone, looks pretty nice, but I have yet to jump on the 26650 bandwagon. Waiting on the Stingray X 26650, or a 26650 SX3xx mod.
I am hoping that trucker gets one and posts some nice build pics.

The fogger 4.4 was a love hate relationship for me.
My first build leaked like crazy. Then i rebuilt it with a little less cotton and slightly placing wick tips in top of juice channels. The screws aren't that bad. The chimney width limits the size of coils you can build (and risk of a short). The upside is the juice capacity was improved in this version. I am not a big fan of the airflow control ring. When "open" it looks like it is still covering part of the holes.
Have you looked at the Yiloong KAISER? It is like the Eden Rose with a ceramic cup. You run leads down into posts and it has frankenstein screws. It has airflow control and juice control. A tough build but once it is right it is great.

Sigh, I can't get the build right and I'm not gonna mess with it now as I am too frustrated. I am going to go back through the posts as I know there have been lots of tips and pictures posted. It keeps leaking through the air holes. I know it's me. I tried with Rayon, Tencel, and even seacell, so I know I am not doing something correctly. I will have at it a bit later after I get a chance to go back through the thread.
This is how I do mine, got this video from in this thread myself and seems the most common way that works.

I'm doing both the V4.3 / V4-plus and the latest V4.4 / V4.1 this way as well just without twisting so much cotton into the coil. Have tried Tbev suggestions and it works just as well for me it just takes me a lot longer and it seems more tedious that way. Both work fine for me what I think they call the Kayfun build and it's pretty fast and simple.
The only problem I've had with the Foggers is the V4.1 machining doesn't seem to be quite as nice as the V4-plus was. My V4.1 on several of the threaded sections seem to be to loose almost cross threading. The chimney section has to be firmly pressed in during a rebuild until I hear it snap back into place just to unscrew it initially.

My wife has been using my Fogger while I wait to buy another for myself. She was using my 0.4ohm 26ga dual coil build on my 4nine clone and loving it. She recently got a Smokjoy N-fire Maxx (vv/vw 6.0/12.0, i know, rather weak, but she's more for aesthetics than performance) and wanted me to put the Fogger on it. Of course, her mod doesn't read below 0.7ohms, so I rebuilt it to 0.8 with 28ga and it's just not hot enough or produce enough vapor for her without doing 5 second lung hits (which she's a mouth hitter anyway).
What type of build should i shoot for her to get the best performance and response from the tank/mod combination? I have at my disposal 32,30,28 and 26ga and I use rayon wicking.

It's gonna be a heck of a challenge powering dual coils with that.
Def use thinner wires and less wraps.
I use 30ga, dual coil, 11 wraps around 2mm, gets me to 1.2ohms. At 4.3V, it's approx 15 watts and it's a good vape so you can try that.
If not, use 32ga to drop the number of wraps
Just my 2c of course.
Oh btw, if the 30ga works but takes time to heat up, she can always start firing the mod as she brings it to her mouth. That way it's heated up nice when she starts her mouth to lung inhale.
