Now I've got to get a micrometer.

Drive safe!

a $17.00 Caliper is all you need: Amazon.com: Neiko 01407A Stanless Steel 6-Inch Digital Caliper with Extra-Large LCD Screen and Instant SAE-Metric Conversion: Home Improvement

I'm in my truck, on the road right now and don't have any measuring equipment with me until I get home.

But you could do it yourself. Metric is easy:

1. Measure the outside diameter of the threads (you might have to round the number up) - That's your Thread size.
2. Measure the distance between two nearest threads ^^ and that's your pitch.

P.S: Let me guess: You were sanding your AFC ring down and f...up the threads. Now you want to run a tap through it to fix it?

Nah, that went smooth as silk, I was very careful to stop just short of the threads when I did that. Drilling out the air holes is what got me so I really need a die not a tap and that'll probably be more than it's worth since I run with them wide open anyway.

Thanks for th link for the calipers. I was looking on flea bay but would rather use Amazon, trying out Prime.

There just was a discussion on cheap calipers over in the older folks and vaping thread, I'll repost a useful post:

It is totally my fault because I failed to mention that before I drill Fogger's air holes, I would just take a Dremel with small abrasive tip and start my new hole with it. From both sides to prevent damaging the threads, especially where the drill exits. I thought it was just my personal preference, like taste is subjective kind of thing.

But, if you take a small tiny triangular file, put on your magnified glass on, you could correct the problem threads if you are careful.

I'm not a stingray fan but if I was I'd probably have to have it, I don't like the titanium ray bc it's just a ti outer tube, as far as the atty go's i like that it seems like it won't be a leaker, but I think the juice is all building up in between the cap and the outer colored rings. I like the idea but I don't think it will produce flavor like my quasar or my odin. I'm really liking my odin right now, I built it at 0.25ohm, came out a bit lower than I like and it's just a beast. I think @ 0.4ohm it may unseat the quasar. I'm just too lazy to build it lately.

AMD, I've been meaning to say that the thread problem wasn't your fault at all. I've been doing enough drilling and halfa--ed machining long enough to know what happens when you drill in a threaded area. In fact I worried about it before I picked up the drill but assumed, and you know what that does, I could re-run the threads with the air ring. I may have a go at it with the Dremel, I've got a number of burrs and engraving bits, the next time I have it apart for a rebuild. I just bought three more and will be working on them as well, knowing ahead of time that wishful thinking is wishful thinking, LOL.

Can't get this device to work properly: it leaks all the time. Did you guys face the same issue? Idk, maybe it's because the glass tank section doesn't sit flush on the o-ring...
    P.S. Got it from Fasttech.

I have 2 from fasttech and 1 from focalecig and no leaking issues with mine.

I would guess that it's not sealing. I had a similar problem with a Big Fogger and it took me two tries to get the tank seated properly on the "O" rings. I just re-wicked that one and when I put it together I put the tank onto the base, first, then, holding it upside down so I could see what was going on, put the tank/base assembly down onto the top cap, screwed it snug and was good to go.

Incidentally, I've got to say thanks to Tbev for boosting the Fogger so much. That's what got me to try one and now I have five! All the other stuff is just gathering dust now.

I picked up a Fogger v4.0 from the local b&m a few days ago.

Gotta say, I love the thing!

I have it built at .8 ohms, dual 2mm micros, wicked with rayon. Foggy!

I am going through a lot of juice and batteries however. I guess worse things have happened...

Just saying thanks for all the tips in this thead. Made my learning curve much shorter.

Do you have the extra long 5one from Infinite? I ask because I have Foggers on two 4nine of mine and the throw is reasonably short and I don't have the center pin of the 510 connector adjusted very far out at all, perhaps 1mm at most. This is with Sony VTC5 and purple Efest 2500mah. I quickly tried an AW IMR and the red Efest 1600mah and both had slightly longer throw but still not very much but I wouldn't use those batteries with my 0.5 ohm builds. A pinky fire still works although I prefer sitting the grooves across my ring finger and firing that way.

Yes its the 4nine from infinite or 5one i should say didnt realize till u said something bsoplinger so thanks . I ended up getting a hybrid adapter that makes it a true 4nine or dam close, no more cheesy magnet and super short throw (sweet). Imo also looks cleaner without the brass top cap and just straight stainless. Have to say this is now my favorite fogger setup love the size with the 4nine not much bigger than my other mods with rda's. Its funny in 18350 mode the fogger is bigger than the mod itself lol.

So i ended up giving a friend of mine the 4.1 i received last week and ordered a v5. I couldnt resist and i needed to see for myself what its all about. I was going to wait knowing it might have some issues but figured why not. Should be here mon or tues ill give it a vape and report with some pics.

On another note i did setup my 4.3 a bit different than i have for the last few months. I went down to 28g from 30 and .6ohm from .7 and with the same 12mg 100% vg juice and same koh gen do did notice a smoother vape for some reason could be i raised the coils a couple mm's.

Infinite in general makes very nice clones but their 4nine is not one of them. That little bit of extra length just makes a mess of everything. I didn't even think about suggesting a Stingray hybrid adapter although I know they share the same threading as the 4nine. Glad you got a solution that works well. Its a nice compact mod when its working well. Looks good in those pics.
