sorry to say , i will never buy another PS product. now that i have figured out the scam.
i have 2 V-1's, garbage now that the switches have passed, garbage is my PS pass-thru since the switch also pffffffft.
just waiting for the V3 to give up the ghost now. then i can go buy a PV that parts will be available a year down the road when i need them. see the scam? discontinue every device you sell and then tell us we should buy your new model.

I'm not familiar with the pass thru but you can get the electrical switches for the V1 thru digikey. I fixed two of them a few months back for a friend here on ECF. I'll see if I can find the number for you.

The V3 is a pretty simple mechanical switch so I cant imagine that its gonna have any type of major failure that you would not be able to fix yourself.

I don't see how anything on the prodigy v3 or the icon can break. I can understand the frustration, but it's a small(ish) shop in a growing industry. They have to put all the machinists to work on the new product, meaning they have to discontinue stuff, especially considering the new product is superior. I still use my icon, it is nice and simple and small. My cousin still uses the prodigy v3, it is nice and simple and smallish. If there is any concern it should be that puresmoker is making devices that will outlive their user, which is bad for the economic growth of the industry. However, where the vaping technology grows, the vaping comminutiy goes and puresmoker has to keep up.

Hmm, I am of the mind that I don't think the device can break either. I've got the legacy and can't speak to the older models. I do think I'll order a spring or two just to be on the safe side.

As far as it being a "scam", I think this vendor has kept up pretty much the same two products for years with minor tweaking, at least that's what I understand from reading here.

If you look at the Legacy's design, I imagine the entire shift was brought about by the kick. Variable voltage/wattage is what people want these days. Have you emailed Cashmere? I'm betting he'll sell you a few spare parts if he has them. This guy doesn't seem the type out to make a quick buck.

thanks for the info on the switch. i'm gonna check it out right away.
i can see PS closing out most limited production parts. but not enough room to stock and sell a switch for profit? my V3 works fine. probably outlast me. lol both my V1's were working when i purchased the V3, i was just supporting the brand. i would have most likely bought the next high voltage mod that Steve has in production. i think not now. i have my eye on another mod made right here in the great state of Michigan. has a lifetime warranty and parts will be available for as long as they are in business, which i think they will be around for a long time. and the price is about the same

thank you very much Steve, now i guess i have to decide my next move. i think i am capable of replacing switches, then again maybe not. in a perfect world, i would just send you my device's. pay your parts and labor costs, have them fixed put my order in for your next high voltage mod, and all would be well.
am i mistaken? i searched for high voltage mod on your PS site, but i see none.

Hey Motor ...

Most the time I won't charge you for parts & labor when it comes to cleaning up previous mod's from us You can send all your devices in if you'd like (outside of the Prodigy V1 and USBpass) and I can take a look at them, clean them up, and make sure they are running above par.

As for high voltage mods Motor, we only offer the LEGACY which runs a big 18650, and should you want to boost wattage (simulate high voltage vaping) - you can purchase a kick to use

my V3 works great, blows clouds of vapor. i sleep better when i am redundit, ie; i need a back-up to my back-up, to my S pass-=thruback-up. i had working 2 x V1 blowing clouds, 1 x V3 blowing clouds, and the original PS pass-thru " big thick black cord" blowing clouds.
V3 is lonely now, guess i have 3 options. try to fix them myself, try to find a good PV mechanic "lol" , or buy new.
i'm not sleeping well lately

MC57...............The only posts I see from you these days are the "Destroy" PS posts! LOL! Hope your doing well old friend! The V1's Can be repaired if you know a good repairman. I'm like you,and wish the old stuff was still available,but the times have changed since the V1 first came out. Us dinosuars have to roll with the changes!
