I just ordered the Nano kit, with the smoke tank; that's gonna look awesome!

Still unsure if the smoke M-tank will be here today or not; I *think* it will, it processed thru and left the Atlanta sort facility about midnight last night, and we're only about 25 miles from Atlanta, and sometimes they don't scan it again until it's delivered... so I'm just impatiently awaiting the vapemail truck. :D

My refill drip tip and new cartos won't be here till tomorrow, they just processed thru the Atlanta sort about 10 this morning, so they probably won't be on the truck today; they'll get to Lawrenceville sometime today or tonight, and get to me tomorrow.

The Nano kit says it should be here Tuesday, so really, any day next week, knowing how the USPS operates. :D

PS: Yesterday was 10 wks smoke-free! Not long till my 3-month vapeversary now! that's a big one for me, because 3 months is the longest I ever lasted smoke-free before, cold-turkey, and it was MISERABLE!

I've been vaping since November and I still have to have an analog cigarette with me at all times. I just have them with me. It takes away the feeling of "you want what you cant have" I don't smoke them (they taste disgusting when ive tried)

I hung on to my last opened pack for over a month, for the exact same reason; I called them my "no-need-to-panic stash". I knew I didn't want to smoke them, but I was afraid I'd go into a total panic if I got rid of every available cigarette. After I had been smoke free for about 55 days, I finally gave them away to my neighbor, who's on disability and too broke to worry about how stale they were. After 55 days, I knew I wouldn't panic when they were gone -- nowadays I save my panic for a) no working coils (so I learned to rebuild them, to get rid of that possible panic), b) my favorite e-juice is out of stock (so I started buying ahead of my needs, so this one is far less likely too), or c) the ECF is down. Not much I can do about that one, except freak out on Facebook. :D

Congratz Your doing fantastic, 10 weeks is awesome. I cant wait to be able to say that. week 7 down is only 2 more days away for me. I'm not really having a great time on the 5mg but I'm gonna tuff it out and probably stay with it at that level another week. I have an area here in Maryland if my mail goes to that post location its doomed. Its only 30 miles from my home. I watched a package sit in that location for a month, called Post office nothing they can do. I was like Let me come get it, Nope no can do. I chalked it up as a loss and received it yet another month later. Every time I have a package go to that location its atleast a month before I see it. Now I usually only order UPS fedex or Priority mail only. I'm surprised I get any mail after the cursing out I have had to give the post office. One good thing is I do at times work on there equipment and yep you guessed it I write up even the littlest issues. One thing folks need to learn is to never Pi$$ of your service technician. I can write a bill like a novel, I'm gifted in that way.

Hello Brandi, I love that name. You do whatever gets you through. I tossed mine because I didn't want to be tempted. My buddy is still totting a pack around with him and it helps him to open the pack and smell them before and after he vapes. Odd ritual but hey its working, he has been smoke free for I believe 3 weeks now.

Heh, you got that right, that's somewhat like pi$$ing off the person who cooks your food... could be dangerous. ;)

You know, I completely get why you're weaning off nicotine, because even if it's not terribly dangerous to the body in general, it could be a risky substance for someone with heart issues, but I had wondered if maybe you were doing it a little too fast, dropping down to the next lower level before your body was completely comfortable with the lower level you're currently on. If you're struggling with the 5mg, that's probably a very good idea, to kinda rest there for a little longer than you had planned; if you drop again to a lower level and you're already struggling, that might be *really* uncomfortable, maybe so much so that the real brutal cravings for real cigarettes come back, and that's a horrible feeling. I'd say make sure you're more or less comfortable, before trying to drop again, so it's not so hard on you -- stress isn't good for the heart either, and cigarette cravings may be the very definition of stress! ;)

I've always said that the way I want to go out is to have one of those BOOM! heart attacks, none of that lying about in a hospital dying by inches for ME, thank you very much! Quitting smoking by vaping may be just the ticket I need to get that kind of ending; my lungs will probably hang in, but nicotine does put stress on the heart and cardiovascular system, and I already have a sporadic arrythmia, mainly if I'm WAYYYY stressed and/or consuming too much caffeine. They did an ultrasound at one point but couldn't really find any issue they could point to, so they think it's probably just a *marginally* weak valve that only plays up when I really am stressed, and/or WAYYY over-caffeinated.

My mother says I'm morbid to think of things like this; I reply that she's in denial, because nobody gets out of here alive.

Hi everyone :) This is a really great thread, with some amazing support and truly inspiring stories, so I thought I would share mine. It's not as amazing as most peoples, and, possibly I'm one of the younger ones here, but oh well. I'm almost 24 and have been smoking since I was 19 (yeah it's a comparatively short time compared to some, such as epicdoom, but already I know I know I need to quit. I have diabetes, and have had since I was 17. Alongside that, I have mild Asthma (exacerbated by the smoking) and a very weak chest making me prone to chest infections and pneumonia. I've been wanting to quit smoking for months, but can never do it alone. I get to a day maybe two and then I'm in the worst mood imaginable and just can't function without a hit. A friend of mine told me about her e-cig and was saying how brilliant they are, and, whilst slightly sceptical decided to take her opinion and advice on board and get one. I'm not sure what brand my e-cig is (possibly E-go?) but cost me £30 for the battery (500mAh I believe), atomiser, coil, charger, case, 1x3ml liquid and 1x5ml liquid. And already I am converted and in love with it. I haven't had a single craving for an analogue cigarette, and feel absolutely fine mod and craving wise. I don't even feel the need to have a "just in case" pack, whereas previously, if I knew I didn't have any I felt the cravings all the more. Vaping is a revelation for me, and I wish I'd have come across it sooner. I don't understand all the different terms and acronyms yet, but I am loving this forum and reading the threads and look forward to finding any support I may need going forward.

Matt My friend it matters not how long one has had the addiction to analogs, the feelings trying to quit are just as bad for everyone. So don't feel any less then even me. Its tuff no matter if you smoked for 3 months or 30 years. What's important here is you found your winning ticket and made the decision to take control of your smoking problem. I applaud you Many young people fear nothing now days and think they are invincible, I see it everyday and worse I saw it on the battlefield. To many young lives lost had the courage of ten men but forget they only had but one life. I'm not saying anything negative about young folks, so please don't take any of this that way. I to was young and gung-ho and now I'm paying the price.
You will find a ton of support here from myself and many others to help you in your journey to taking back your valuable life.

Andria I have a leaking heart valve its not a serious issue but is a result from a chest impact in 1991 For me the Nicotine has 2 vices one its something controlling what I do and two its a vaso restrictor. Id like to get my veins opened up and pushing blood to my muscles the way God designed me to operate. other then that I wouldn't care. I have started cutting back on coffee also only 2 cups in the morning 1 regular 1 decaf. I drink water the rest of the day. I want to give my body and organs the best chance to be around for that little Grandson I cherish so much. I guess I'm a little bit late in trying to get back some years, but I have to try.

Like I said, I completely get it; I don't know if my son will ever procreate, but it would be nice to stick around long enough to find out if he really will go bald before he's 40, as my father did. :D I started noticing his blond hairs everywhere when he was just 15, and he would deny deny deny, but now at nearly 26, he sees that hairline creeping ever backward. :D They say if a man's mother had a bald father, he's got a 50/50 chance of going bald himself, and I think he got the 50% of that genepool that means he'll be a cueball at a really young age.

I feel much the same about "it's a bit late..." since I smoked for nearly 39 yrs and just now found the means to quit, but they say after 3 months that your lungs regain the ability to clean themselves. I'm nearly there, and in fact it's just a bit more than 3 months since I started vaping and cutting WAY down on the smokes, which might explain why this week I've been coughing up again -- lungs are starting to be able to get rid of that crap in there, so I don't begrudge the coughing up -- the more of it I can get rid of, the better!

Many, many times I've said "If I knew I was gonna live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself!" and that is the truth! But thankfully got sober at 31, so the liver should be sound, and finally quit smoking, so after a bit more time to heal, they should be fairly sound too, other than the asthma; no cure for that, but it's getting better all the time, and for that I rejoice. :thumb:

Its funny looking back on my life, I accepted the fact I'm not living forever and I was completely ok with going out when ever the good lord decided he wanted me. I mean at birth its the start of our death so why fight it rite. I lived by that till that little grandson came. I sure hope you get to know that joy Andria. Light a fire under that young mans .... region, tell him to get with the program. lol I kind of figured Id live this long I'm to stubborn to go out like I should, when I should. Had many narrow escapes hehe

Not stupid at all, I think most of us probably faced the same many of the same obstacles at first. the truth is, if you just have one tank, it is pretty difficult to try a lot of different flavors, because of all the washing and cleaning required to get rid of the taste of the last one. And not just the tank either; the wick in the coil will contain the flavor of whatever it soaked up last, though it does vaporize away pretty quickly.

The easiest way to do it is to have a tank for each flavor you want to try. That can get expensive, so, if you're patient enough to empty tank back into bottle and clean out the tank before putting in a new flavor, you can have some replacement coils on hand, and just change those.

The best place I've found for both inexpensive tanks and inexpensive replacement coils is discountvapers.com. The tank you have is one of the pricier ones, but they have T3S tanks for $5.99, and coils for them, $5.96/5-pk. They do have replacement coils for the PT3 also, but they're more than $5.96/5-pk, but that's all I know for sure.

There is also the alternative of using inexpensive 510 atomizers, which are "dripping atomizers", in order to sample a lot of flavors without having to fill a tank, empty a tank back into a bottle, etc. They're difficult to get the hang of; you get a lot of "hot metal" taste, and a good bit of "gurgle," for maybe 2-3 good hits. But it's a fairly inexpensive way to do the "dripping" thing, which is good for tasting.

Then there are the "real" rebuildable dripping atomizers, or RDAs; these run the gamut in price, from like $7.99 to over a $hundred, and apparently these provide about the best vape it's possible to get, but I wouldn't know, having never tried one. Everyone yammers on endlessly about them. :D

Agree with Andria as for the RDA's they are probably the best atomizer for changing flavors with. I have probably 20 different tanks carts and RBAs to do it with for the most part. but when I want to taste flavors I don't have in tanks I drip. Flavor wise I don't really find them any better then a good build in a kayfun JMO. What I like best about them is the ability to mix flavors at will without commitment. I have made a few flavors I love using 2 different juice flavors.

Week 7 today and still doing good. I will be staying with the 6mg juice for another week. I'm starting to get used to the reduced lvl, doing a lot of dripper hits at .4 ohms. Seems to be satisfying me fairly well in just 3 good hits. I have been making my own juice this past week and I'm happy with some of the flavors, some not so much lol. The flavor concentrates are stronger then I anticipated, so a few 3ml bottles became 6ml to dilute them a bit. I'm adding the Nicotine only after I have a flavor I can live with. I now have a bunch of bottles steeping so I hope they get even better.

I kicked a 15 year cigarette habit one year and 4 days ago but recently picked up vapeing again (tried it out 5 or 6 years ago with Blu e-cigs) due to nightmares about smoking again. I do have to agree with the statement that you really have to want to quit. When I tried Blu E-cigs the vapor/nicotine delivery did not work all that well, however with these new battery and tanks my wife is down to 1-2 cigs a day and they are starting to taste funny to her.

Well that's really excellent news, Strafe; I was that way too, after a couple weeks of vaping, the cigarettes just tasted strange. Then, they started tasting really BAD! and also they had far less throat hit than the stuff I was vaping! So when it was down to like, 2 a day, I was thinking, could I just quit them altogether? The next 3 days I really tried, and I managed to have to just one, on all 3 of those days, because I couldn't feel satisfied with vaping, in the morning... then I realized that when I was still half-asleep, I was trying to vape like smoking -- short quick hits. And vaping just isn't very effective at delivering nicotine that way, you have to take slower hits and keep the vapor in mouth, throat, and nose, as long as possible, to get the max nicotine delivery. When I figured that out, the next morning, I didn't smoke, and haven't smoked since my last one on Feb 27. I still can't believe it, but it really works. :thumb:

Awesome keep with it Its really only as hard as we make it. Vaping is a great substitute, if you let yourself believe in vaping helping you quit it does work very well. I almost didn't buy into it after having the Blu E cig failure, I just figured its all the same. It certainly is not, Not by a long shot. IMO Blu cigs and the many other ciga-likes shouldn't even be classified vaping. They should just be know as electronic cigarettes.
Today I decided to plunge in to my drippers I pulled them all apart, and rebuilt them all. I got to tell ya folks I'm loving the vapor. I built 5 RDA's using 26g - 28g kanthal Here is the run down.
Smok Caterpillar duel stovetop coils .15 ohms Vapes like crazy and flavor is SO damn good.
Patriot Duel Nano Dragon coils .40 Ohms Vapor is good and flavor exceptional.
IGO W Duel Diamond coils .40 Ohms Vapor good and flavor is slightly better the kayfun
Trident Tricro coil 1.2 Ohms Vapor is good and flavor also very good.
Zenith Twisted bunnies Vertical Quad Coil Build at .20 Ohms Vapor is awesome and flavor is damn good.
My favorite is the stovetop duel coils in the Caterpillar this thing kicks some serious vapor out and has tremendous flavor. I have been able to take 3-4 nice hits from these drippers and be completely satisfied at 6mg nic. level. This is just another little trick I found to help me get through the rough patches I cant wait to see how well it will do tomorrow. I'll have all day to see if they work for me with so few hits.
