Today makes 16 days of no analogs. I started vaping when my daughter let me borrow hers. That was on a Friday and I had just bought 2 packs by Monday I had 1 analog left and I smoked it at 8am. That was my last analog. I smoked for 30 years 1 to 1 1/2 pack a day. I have found that I still have a craving from time to time especially after a meal but I keep a coffee/chocolate flavor juice for that purpose. I can't believe this finally got me to stop smoking cigarettes. The funny thing is really didn't intend to completely stop the main purpose was just to cut back and save a little money but now you couldn't pay me to smoke an analog. I always enjoyed smoking and this gives me the same sensation so for anyone thinking about switching.... go ahead give it a shot. You won't regret it.

Good story, I'm also curious about what people's experience have been with stepping down their ejuice and getting off nicotine entirely.
I have stepped down to mainly 6 most of the time. I do keep a higher nic level bottle around for "emergencies" but most of the time i do just fine with 6. Once the stash gets a bit lower (have some storage space issues) i will get some 0 just to see how that goes as i enjoy vaping a lot and want to experiment what part of that enjoyment comes from nic and what had to do with blowing lovely clouds
Andria it sure sounds like some of the PG issues I have read about, I would for sure have your doctor check into it. I am doing very well with how frequent I vape. I was vaping 2-3 times an hour on week one, I'm not vaping every 4-5 hours and down to 5mg. I do find vaping satisfying enough that I may still vape no nic juice when I'm over the Nicotine addiction. But the main goal is to get to being Nicotine free. I am worried about getting Migraine headaches. I suffer from those when I don't get enough nicotine in the past. I have only had one so its looking like I'm doing everything rite for me so far. I set a clear goal to drop nic lvls and how often I require it and so far so good.
I hope you get the Juice figured out if that's the issue. It could easily also be due to frequency of vaping maybe its just to much? Lots of things to try, but I would have my physician involved. Better safe then sorry love.

I love stories like this Keep on keepin on. Quitting isn't as hard as we make it, there is usually a way to get you through the rough patches you just have to find out what they are.
I started at 24mg juice and dropped by 6 every week I stayed at 6 for 2 weeks and then dropped to 5mg will drop 1 mg a week now till I'm off Nicotine all together. I had to start making my own juice to be able to drop in 1mg increments but its worth it.
The only doc I have is my asthma doc, whom I see once a year for checkups. No job, no insurance, no thousands of dollars for doctor visits. I've already told my husband that if I collapse on the floor, do NOT call 911, do NOT take me to the hospital; if I die, I die, but at least won't leave anymore debts behind.
Last year, over an entire day and night I suffered excruciating stomach pain, and really thought it might be appendicitis, so I went to the e-room; after 6 hrs, they told me they "couldn't find anything" and sent me home -- still in pain -- and then sent me a bill for $8800, for doing NOTHING. Since I have no job and no insurance, they knocked it down to $1100 -- and a year later, I still owe them almost $1000, and will probably be paying them $25/mo for the next 10 yrs or so. So, except for my yearly asthma checkup, no docs for me. I would rather die than have to try to explain to yet more bureaucrats that I don't have the many thousands that they apparently think picking up a pencil is worth.
I went earlier and put a couple large pillows on the footrest of the recliner, and sat there with feet very high for an hour, and it did seem to help; maybe it's just the PG, plus the dehydration, plus not resting enough -- nicotine makes me kinda hyper, especially at the 9mg level, but if I use the 6mg I keep for nights, all day long, I find myself puffing continuously. So I'll just make sure and take frequent rests with my legs/feet elevated, and drink even more water, and see if I can't get a handle on it.

Gotcha, I would try and get some kind of disability so you can get some insurance, let the state pay for it. Its the least they can do since they probably been robbing you for taxes, tag renewal, lic fees the list goes on and on. If I didn't have it through work and the VA, I'd damn sure be on the states.
I'm now dealing with "I want everything, I want every mod, every juice, gimme" instead of "I want a smoke"! My wallet is starting to whimper... Now to decide which one I want, lol

I agree, ANYTHING is better than smoking. But I finally figured out what's so #$%$# great about kayfuns -- OMG! That TH is just like a cigarette!!!
I've only got it set to 7w, and it's unfrickingbelievable!! Ahem... anyway. Anything is better than smoking... which is why I'm not freaking out about this ankle swelling. Whatever it is, it's not likely to kill me anything like as fast or as dead as cigarettes. While we were watching Criminal Minds and CSI, I propped my feet up high again, and it really does help. I think it's manageable.

I told you you would like the Kayfun, the flavor from them is insanely good and if your set up rite you can make some damn nice vapor clouds as well. I was driving today took a good hit blew the cloud out and jammed on the brake. I literally couldn't see S*&^ . Spent the rest of the day with the window down and AC off lol
I wish I could do that, especially back in April before it got so hot -- it's already in the mid-80's here, think it got to 87 today. But a guy across the street is OBSESSED with clearing off the brush and weeds at the back of his lot by BURNING it!!!

So everytime I'd have my kitchen window open, enjoying the spring freshness outside, I'd start smelling that smoke and have to slam the window shut, right after screaming out "stop burning, you ___!!" Take your pick of off-color epithet.
But anyway... I do like the Kayfun, very much. But I've also just discovered the joys of cartotanks; I got a real cheapie ($2.99!!) last week from discountvapers, and yesterday I got a real nice smokTech U-DCT -- I MUCH prefer the U-dct to the regular one, everytime I tried to remove that cheapie from anything, the tank would come up before the carto, and make a huge mess. So I'll be retiring that one to the very back of the usable tanks, probably somewhere behind the T3S collection. I'm actually not using a dual-coil carto, though; I found some single-coil 45mm cartos for the DCT, and I like those MUCH better, it's still a nice warm vape, with plenty of resistance in the draw, almost like a _______ (your choice of nasty words for those things we used to puff on!). I managed to get the airflow shut down about 3/4 of the way on the Kayfun, but it's still a fairly soft draw, and somewhat cooler than the cartotank. I have both sitting here on the desk, and I alternate, trying to decide which I like better, and it's pretty much a draw... there is more *flavor* in the Kayfun, but more heat, throat hit, and resistance in the cartotank. *shrug*
Either one is great, really.

I had a neighbor like that, burned everything. It would smoke my house up so bad the detectors would go off. I got fed up with being a nice guy asking nicely, and told him to stop or get the S%*& beat out of him. My alarms were tied into my security system so every time they went off Id have to call and explain I have a freaking idiot living rite next door. Sure Glad I sold that house I don't miss it a bit.

All day vaping for me for sure! I have six different flavors I switch back and forth from. In between I drink water. When I can't taste any more of the flavors that let's me know I am slightly dehydrated. So I drink water and it's back to normal. Just a tip, if you get heartburn you might want to check your pg amount. TO much pg can give you heartburn.
Well if he keeps doing it as it becomes summer, I'm calling the cops, fire dept, whoever'll listen and send someone out here, because we have burn bans in the summer, because of the ozone levels, and then in late summer because everything is so dry from the extreme heat. I hesitate to send my husband over there because he really might kick the #$%&% out of him, and we can't afford to bail him out of jail or any of the rest that would follow. See, maturity isn't about taking the high road, it's about knowing how much things cost, and when you can't afford them!
That's the beauty of the UDCT! It's got an extra "locking" ring at the bottom, you put it on after you're done with all the filling stuff, and the carto can't slide out! I find if I turn the wattage up past about 8w, I get that burnt taste, but otherwise, not too much, and I do like the warmth (single-coil!) and the resistance of the draw, it feels like old times.
If I put my really skinny drip tip on there, it *really is* like old times! Andria
My wife and I haven't had any stinkies since monday and we both feel we are on our way. We are stocking up on juice and both have extra batteries as well as multiple tanks so as to not run out. I actually found that for the last week or so of smoking/vaping I was yearning for a vape right after finishing a stinky so the switch was not abrupt but more gradual. I have been trying to stick with just vaping for the last two years + and was always using the cheapest stuff available. This time we both have more of the middle of the road setups and it is working fine. So glad to be stinky free for two days and feeling that one day at a time we will succeed!
Fantastic we all have different things that seem to help. Its great to have a place to share it so if someone is having a hard time something that help others may do the trick. Keep up the good work 2 days is the start of the rest of your life. keep focused on the task at hand and remember every day smoke free is a small victory and headway in the battle, Don't give up that headway. Great that You and the wife can help each other don't forget to remind each other how proud you are, That goes a long way.
Andria I know what you mean about the drip tip, is it the one for filling also? That little tip is fantastic and your rite the draw in the DCT's is a little restrictive just like old times. My DCT doesn't have a locking ring unfortunately, but its ok. I just keep it at the house.
Great post - thanks for sharing! I've been vaping for 2 weeks now, went from smoking a pack a day to just vaping immediately. I too noticed the loss of flavor that has gotten better... also got bad canker sores. Apparently mouth ulcers / mouth pain is common issue among people quitting analogs. Keep up the good work!
No, it's just a very slim-tipped pyrex tip; I have one of those refilling tips on the way, along with a 5-pk of single-coil 45mm flanged cartos -- found 'em for $1.52 each! Those might be here tomorrow. Also possibly tomorrow, a tall smoke-color M-tank for the kayfun, which ought to decrease the weight tremendously, taking the place of 2 steel rings along with the short clear tank. I have another of those slim-tipped driptips in that smoke color, which should look really great with that.

PS: I'm also ordering a Nano kit for the kayfun tomorrow, with a smoke-color tank.
I bought the large and small tank kits in all the colors from fasttech. I was thinking about the nano kit as well. Will see how this order goes this is my first order with them if they do me rite I'll buy from them again. I may be able to slip the nano kitted kayfun, into my VTR that would be very cool.
