First off, I just want to say that this is only my experience and opinions, so YMMV.

I've been vaping seriously for about 5 weeks, and in that time I've spent more money on juice than I care to recall. I started out with the little vision clearomizers, which at first were the greatest thing ever, but I knew there had to be something better. I liked the idea of tanks in general, being able to fill and go so I bought a ProTank, along with two weeks of furiously buying juice from several vendors. Most of which I enjoyed, but the ones I enjoyed the most are now empty bottles. Even ones I received about a week or so ago. I mean, I was just flying through juice like you wouldn't believe, and I thought I was vaping 5 to 6 ml a day. I fell in love with Ben Johnson's Snicklefritz. Such a great juice, but the bottle was pretty much empty after (seriously) two days except for maybe a few drops in the bottle. I had been out of town for about a week without any good juice and went home two days ago to some vapemail. I had gotten a couple bottles of Namberjuice and some Halo I won here on ECF (Check out the game here if you don't already know about it) along with a 510 Cisco Atomizer from Avidvaper.

Dripping was something I wanted to try but I had no idea this little thing would be one of the most important pieces of the vaping puzzle for me. It did take a little getting used to and I was confused at first but WOW! I have never tasted anything like this before. The flavor and vapor from it are just incredible! It blows any clearo I've tried out of the water. Also I feel like I'm using SO much less juice than with my clearomizers. I think I've used less than 1ml today altogether and I have been vaping all day long. I still love my ProTank and use it when I'm out of the house, and the Visions and iClears are great for that too. I just want to tell anyone who is considering dripping but is unsure (as I was), you owe it to yourself to give it a go. It is a bit more cumbersome, but if you're someone who likes or has time to just sit and enjoy your vape, switch flavors frequently, and fiddle and be hands on with your vape gear, you might really enjoy it.

Again, I have only been vaping for a short time, so some of you may find this post completely pointless and trivial, please disregard it. This is intended for newer vapers or maybe even long timers who have never tried dripping but have thought about it. For me, I feel like this little 8 dollar atomizer has taken vaping to a new level I didn't know was possible. If anyone has/had a similar experience, feel free to share.

Sorry for the lengthy post

Peace, love, and happy vaping!

I dripped for the first couple years, forsaking carto tanks and even genesis atomizers ('cause they were too difficult to master... til later).
Cisco is a good atty.
I was hooked on hh357's for the longest...

When you are ready, try a dripper RDA...get ready for the next level in vaping pleasure :)
It takes some learnin but if you're motivated, its a snap.
and its so worth it.
safety first; because they are best at sub 1.5 ohms

Transient: What are using to drip? And what mod/battery are you using? I really want to try dripping and even bought a drip tip but for some reason, I'm not "getting" it.

I have an eGo Twist with a Kanger clearo. What do I buy to attach to the battery and where do I put the liquid? (I know, talk about stupid questions)

This is a great post, because I am in the exact same situation as the one you described but have not attempted dripping just yet. I think I am planning on giving it a try, I just need some idea on a good dripper that I can also rebuild...Something relatively cheap, since I have already spent a fortune on tanks, juice and every other eCig gadget that is shiny.

You just need an atomizer. The eGo-C, 510 or 306 atomizer are all good places to start. If you already have a standard drip tip, grab a 510 atomizer (the Cisko at Avid Vapor is popular) and try it out.

The atomizer is just a heating element. No filler, less wick material. In my experience it provides a better taste than any carto or clearo, and a stronger throat hit.

You can drip on a clearo. Many people do. It works best on a top coil clearo like a CE4. Just put a couple of drops directly on a coil and vape away until it dries.

But an actual atomizer will give a better experience, in my opinion.

It's the "better experience/better taste" that I've been interested in. I'm doing really well leaving the analogs alone and I'm currently in the "do I want to drop nic altogether?" stage but I think I'd have a better shot at that if I had a clean, clear, wonderful flavor. I find the smooth, creamy flavors to be the most comforting... they go with my coffee.. and I think I might be able to vape a little less and drop my nic one more time if I had just a teeeeny bit better hit.

If I wasn't dripping then I'd still be smoking.
Same here. I've been dripping for four years now using nothing more fancy that a Standard Joye 510 atomizer.

I have to drip because I won't tolerate any inconsistency.
Whatever I use has to work right every time.

Futzing around with something in order to get a decent vape isn't something that interests me.

Dripping tip #1: less drips is better... only because its easier to add another drop than to deal with a flooded atomizer.
A new atomizer will need extra to get started, but once you have it primed, it only takes 2 or 3 drops each time.

Sold. :)

Now to pick one up somewhere. . . (I said I wasn't buying anything else.. I said I wasn't buying anything else. . . )

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping ;) Check out Ocelot's blog she's done a pretty detailed break down of all the ins and outs. You'll want a drip shield along with your atty.

I've been dripping exclusively for three years ever since I figured out that cartridges sucked. From what I've seen cartos, clearos and tanks aren't much better.
