I was prone to headaches a bit as a kid, but when I took birth control pills (the short time I did) and when I was pregnant/nursing/etc with my kiddos I got WICKED bad migraines.
I'm talking weeks of daily painful headaches.
Unfortunately they never went away after #2, and he's 6.5 now and I was still battling the headaches. both my boys well know "Momma has owchie head" - my throwback to when my eldest was 2 and pregnant with my second. LOL.

The last few years it's gotten better and worse, one month I might have just a few days of pill popping, the next it'll be a few weeks of being in a drug addled daze. I keep putting off going to a doc and getting actual meds, so i'm probably the owner of a pickled liver at this point ;)

Anywho, i'm into my 3rd month vaping and i've had hardly any headaches and extremely mild ones at that. I think i'm actually safe saying that things have improved signifigantly in the reproductive fallout department!!

Anyone else, or am I an oddball?

If you had headaches as a kid, you may have a nerve issue or a blood constriction issue which are both common. I do suggest that you get your heart checked out though for sure. I know 2 people who have dropped dead of an undetected heart conditions at very young ages with little symptoms or warnings. If it is indeed a blood constriction issue, that means that your oxygen levels are lower than they are supposed to be and that causes headaches. Smoking would not only irritate that because of what it does to the vessels in your lungs, but also, it lowers your oxygen levels as well.

Another issue would be an allergy that just made your existing headaches worse. With all of the chemicals in analogs, it would be very likely that you had a sensitivity to one (or more) of them or even a mild allergy. Allergic reactions are basically a form of inflammation and can present themselves in just about any form in the body including headaches because inflammation also causes blood constriction. The fact that symptoms are worse in certain times in your life is common also. Your hormones and the chemistry of your body was different so reactions can be different. Good news is that your systems have had a chance for a detox by now and you seem to be feeling better which is great.

My suggestion is to definitely see a doctor for some tests (just to check things out) but follow up with a Natropath or Holistic Practitioner. Regular doctors will just put more chemicals in your body. Ever since I started a more natural lifestyle my migraines have nearly disappeared and I have more energy than I ever have in my entire life. When I do have an occasional migraine I take a caffeine supplement, which you can pick up at any drugstore for cheap. They are usually 200mg a piece but I'd break it and start at 100mg to avoid jitters then you can move up if you feel the need. I don't take Pharmaceutical meds anymore but this formula worked for me even when migraines were bad: 400-600mg ibuprofen + 250mg Tylenol or 325mg aspirin(better) + 100mg caffeine. Don't take this more than a couple times a day and certainly not more than a couple times a week. They make similar "migraine" formulas that you can buy at drugstore but the make-up is generic and this way you can adjust the mg's of ingredients to fit your needs. Plus its cheaper too.

Good Luck Hun!

I used to have alot of migraines when i smoked, so bad that no medicine helped. What i hated was the nausea besides the pain. All i could do was stay in my bedroom with it completely dark.I was miserable!

Since i started vaping the migraines stopped but i still get headaches once in a while. They aren't severe and go away quickly.

If you are an oddball then i am too :)

You are not alone! I suffered from excruciating headaches for years, caused by allergies and stress, sometimes both at the same time. Since I've been vaping, the allergy/sinus headaches have almost disappeared, and when they occur, they're well below the level where medication is needed. The stress headaches are something else. What the ANTZ are trying to do to us vapers tends to give me headaches... Fortunately, a few deep breaths and a few puffs of my favorite juice mitigate those... :)

not frequently as a kid, usually heat releated. I can't handle heat....I have low BP and poor circ so I was prone to passing out as a kid or suffering with headache and nausea sometimes in the summer (mom didn't believe in turning on AC pretty much all summer growing up in chicago area) and would plant myself in the coolest darkest room - often the basement if we had one - and hide out.
didn't require meds type headaches....i'm sure due to the heat.

so my smart monkey .... moved to texas of course ;)

the migraine bad headaches thing started when taking BC pills and ceased when I stopped (I tried like 4 diff kinds incl POPs) and didn't return until I got pregnant with #1....lasted pretty much entire pregnancy but slowly got better. then I gave birth and it was daily for months and slowly receeded to key times in my cycle.
they are very obviously hormone related....sometimes starting around ovulation and lasting past my . ending, but on "better" months its just a few days before and during start, and few days around end.

I've had a desire for quiet and a mild headache, but a 2 on a 10pt scale, maybe.
I need to see my chiro though, because I take stress in neck and shoulders and it tends to make any stress or any headaches get worse and worse.
never fixed migraines like vaping has seemed to reduce them however!
