I can't seem to keep mine marked. The supposedly permanent Sharpie keeps wiping off, so I have to put tape on the ones not in use.

Perhaps roughing up the surface of the battery would help? A piece of 400 grit automotive paper would probably do the trick.
Another idea: put a piece of clear packing tape over the sharpie.

FOr that reason I have 4 18650s, 2 18350, 2 egoc batterys, and 2 KR808-D

For the ego-C/KR808 I have a USB solar panel to plug the chargers into

For the others my hubby has an air compressor/power inverter gadget

Such is my hurricane prep anyways if it helps anyone

I have a generator lol.
Not to mention car chargers.

I got about 56 hours on my first 18650 in a Vamo and that's what I'm primarily using, second one seems to be going the same. A benefit of liking low watts.
I was also charging 1-2 eGo batteries a day. That has dropped drastically.

I think with all my eGo batteries and 2 18650s I'd be good for a nearby tornado. Once I get more 18650s stocked I'd be good for a direct hit (hmm, maybe I should keep my vaping stuff in an emergency duffle).

solar charger, worked for me egos, cell phone and camera when fishing (not all at once).

Amazon.com: Instapark 10 Watt Solar Panel Portable Solar Charger with Dual USB Ports for iPhone, iPad & all other USB Compatible Devices: MP3 Players & Accessories

find a charger with a usb in and your all set.

to the op i understand the whole mini idea, but you have to trade size for longevity no way around it.
but to others it all depends on the batteries you buy as well. the ones im using currently last over 2 days

2900mah is pretty sweet. 12 hours later and my ProV still reads 3,8v. going to test some 3400's soon, im sure they will make it in the vamo but not so sure about my provari yet. just imagine 4 of those in that fast tech battery pack almost 14000 mah :D

until the gas runs low and you cant get more because the gas pumps require power to pump gas and you dont want to push the battery by itself too long. lol

(already been there in a hurricane with an inverter, thought i was slick till the tank ran dry)

on top of the solar charger i see now they make small wind turbines. free power all day

If this is mentioned in another thread, please tell me where?

I'm just starting to get into mechanical mods and my question is about battery safety. Since regulated mods will shut off before the battery drops below a safe point, how do I know on a mechanical? If it's the battery protection that does this, how do I know what type to get?

Thanks!
