Forum button

Please put the forum button that had been between what's new and live chat back. Yes, I know when you look below that, there is the little icon of the house with Forum and so on to your current location, which is really great when that option is there. If you go into say Subscribed, your profile or other areas like that, Forum isn't the option there then.

i do appreciate all the work being done to ensure trouble-free loading of ecf but old habits are so hard to break all morning i've been ending up in live chat because my mouse has been trained to home in on a certain spot where ''what's new'' was located
hoping this is still a work in progress!

And no 'forum' icon in 'Search' or 'Blog' either or anywhere in profile or settings, PM area - hitting anywhere in the top banner gets you there but not everyone knows that.

Thank you as I for one didn't know, I still would like to see them put the button back tho, it makes it easier for some of us.

I thought maybe I had a misbehaving cookie or something until I realized this started after the downtime maintenance.
I would also like the forum button back in the toolbar please.

I have had it that way since this morning, not good to be on first cup of coffee for the day go to click it and it's gone!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you as I for one didn't know, I still would like to see them put the button back tho, it makes it easier for some of us.

Hi all - we will see what we can do, but the old templates are going to be unsupported soon, although we will leave them there in case anyone chooses to use them. We will be offering a black and white version of the new template as soon as we have the time.

Unfortunately there is simply no way for us to devise a system that works effectively across all templates. I'm really sorry, but it's just not possible and we are going to focus our efforts on the new templates. If there's anything you'd like integrated on the new templates, please do let us know.

I recommend that you click the banner area to return to the home page, for now.

Hi Joe and thank you for replying. While I do understand what you are saying there is a lot of people who don't have any idea about clicking the banner area to return home. I know I didn't until it was posted in this thread.

So would it even be possible then add at least the small "Home" Icon to the banner, say in one of the corners, so people who don't know have something there to let them know?

Sorry, this won't be possible. Why not use the new template instead? Then you have "forums" at the top left....

forum speed is much improved and i imagine we'll get used to the changes in lay-out

but ....... if it's not a big thing could ''chat'' be put in the utmost left postion? my mouse remains stubborn and homes in on the old location for ''what's new''

And... thanks for the new forum button! Clicking on the black part of the top banner still gets you there too. That 'vapor graphic' in the top right looks real I keep thinking I need to clean my monitor
