Me too.. I was astonished to find I had msgs in there from Feb of last year, when I first started! I thought I had deleted all those a long time ago. Just got rid of everything pre-appendectomy... thought I might leave everything since then, at least for a while, because so many ECFers were so very kind in their good wishes for my recovery, and also a lot of discussions as I struggled with my relapse into smoking, and coming back from that. I am constantly amazed at the pure GOODness of so many ECFers, it makes me feel that all hope is not lost in the modern world. :thumb:

And all y'all who were so kind and so helpful as struggled with my relapse... thank you so much. It certainly helped me a lot, to know that no one looked down on me for smoking, when I was struggling with my illness. Coming back from that relapse was so hard... every little bit helped!!!

Woo hoo...

Just checked on the issue with leaving a conversation...

Yep, Does Work, trashed some from 2009. :rickroll:

I was just now able to "leave" the one that I was not able to leave before.

The issue with leaving conversations has indeed been fixed. Whack away y'all!

Who knew that a simple act of deleting one's old PMs could feel so liberating!

Is it my imagination or are the sig counter banners updating much more frequently now too?
Mine updated at some point (first time since changeover), but I just checked and it is at the moment 12 hours behind. The cache must have cleared this am but how often it will I don't know.

We've adjusted the time on how often the cache will update. It's now set to update each day. That's as low as we can go.

I was wondering if the ECF sig banners will be returning.. or if they're here, where? I've looked, but I don't seem to find them anywhere.

Andria

They're still good, but we haven't put up the link yet. Those reside on another server and if you have them already in your sig, they're still showing.

And I just found out you can only leave 12 feedback within a 24 hour period? That's not going to work well with a large co-op. It's going to take me 4 days to leave feedback.

Thanks @retired1.

@Walker843 I definitely see the problem there. So I've change the settings to allow up to 200 every 12 hours. This should more than cover our CO-OP host. If this isn't enough, we might consider adjusting the limits a little more.

Thank you, @j0ker !!!

I don't think I should like to have a co-op with more than 200 people, so I'll be sure to stay far under that limit! :D

Ok I actually managed to find my way here. I don't know if I will ever find my way back but will try. Why is it sometimes the "view first unread post" shows up and sometimes it doesn't even when I can see there's more unread posts ? I have said it elsewhere as well but the old system worked just fine one all my mobile devices so really why the change ?
Oh and one other question when I click on followed posts. Why does it list a bunch of stuff I'm not even sure I've ever posted on never mind subscribed to ? Unlike the simplicity of the old system now I have to navigate through a whole list of threads to find ones I am actually following and they aren't in any logical order that I see. Used to be the ones I posted on most current stayed at the top. This new system is really non user friendly especially for mobile devices.

See the first few posts in this thread on how the new software works: Xen Foro tips and tricks | E-Cigarette Forum

To see which threads you're following, there's a "Watched Threads" link at the top of the page. Once there, you'll see a Show All Watched Threads link at the lower left of that list to see all threads you're following.

XF isn't non-user friendly. It just has a different way of doing things. The change is extremely beneficial to ECF, especially in terms of SEO. Within 2 days, our bounce rate was cut by over 75%.

Will or do we have a way to block GIF's youtube and pic's like the old days (a few weeks ago) so we get a link in their place ? most of that stuff makes the page load slower and eats up ones data package for those that pay by the GB.
