That's manageable; you could just set it one day earlier, so it would be correct all day. :D I like your banner; it says "cigarette" instead of "analog" and shows money saved too. :thumb:

duhhhhhhh that's a good idea! lol Yeah the font is kinda hard to read, but I do like that it's not all cluttered. and they're having a contest giving 50.00 in juice of your choice each week if they spot you outside their forum with the banner. very few are participating right now, so pretty easy to win

That's cool, although I don't really like most pre-made juice anymore, it never has enough PG for me. What's REALLY cool is that there is a vendor I often link to, or recommend to others, and apparently someone who works for/at/is that vendor has seen those recommendations... so now, about every-other time I order from them, they give me a SIGNIFICANT freebie! I'm not going to name the vendor, don't wanna mess up a good thing, but it's nice that they recognize those who send business their way. :thumb:

Exactly who's "day earlier" .... I've seen users that are in Tokyo, Thailand, Australia. France, England not to mention the USA to name a few, so basically from all around the world... so no matter what time is chosen, it isn't always going to be a day earlier for everyone.

Yes. Just select the day before your actual start date, and that way it'll be accurate all day -- whenever your day happens to be. Depending on the location of the server for the quit banner, in relation to my own location, I've had to finesse them in various ways to get the count to come out right.

Test

... so, it works for me. Showed a thumbnail, then a choice of thumbnail or full image, I chose full, and got the one above. Are you sure you only clicked Full Image?

In the classys when you are creating a post and using the "upload a file" feature, why do thumbnails show when I select "show all images as full images" or something to that effect? I hate having to click on each thumbnail and I'll bet most everyone else does too. Am I doing something wrong?

Where are you uploading from? I type up my post and just copy and paste the image link from imgur. I don't use any feature on ECF per se, I just post the link and it shows in whatever size link I use. I am not all hat computer savvy either, so it's really no biggie. I do agree though, I hate those thumbnails.

Now if I could just figure out why I hardly get notifications for all the threads I watch/post in. And when I do, they are really sporadic. Hell, I posted in here a two weeks ago and have never seen an alert.

You do not get a notification for each and every transaction, nor does it send a notification for each and every response to a thread. You get one notification. This does not reset until you go an read the thread. It then resets and the next new reply will cause a new notification. That's it.

The purpose for this is two fold. On a busy site like this, the software doesn't spend all its time sending out notices to everyone for each new post. It also eases the load on the mail server when sending notices to those that want email notifications as well.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work correctly that way either.

Upon getting an email notification of a new post in a thread, I always immediately go to that thread and read the new (and any other) post.

Here's an example:

I received an email on June 1st that a new reply had been posted in the Contest thread. I visited the thread and deleted the email. I have not received another notification regarding that thread since then. However, going to that thread right now there's been 7 posts in that thread since then.

I used the "upload a file" feature. I didn't click "full image" for each image because there was an option that said something like "make all images full images". I clicked that. That doesn't work. I went back to my post and edited it and clicked "full image" on each image I uploaded and that worked.

What's really strange is that all my images in Tapatalk showed full images before I edited the post.

email notifications are very iffy :( or rather nonexistent i should say!
due to the new feedback rules i followed j0ker's recommendation and set my preferences to 'email me when new feedback is received'
30 transactions later there hasn't been a single one!

email notifications for PM's work. I don't want email for anything else so I have those shut off.

Weird. Today I woke up and had 14 notifications. I hadn't had activity like that since the previous forum set-up. And I get what you are saying about the purpose of the software and how you get one notification until you go the the thread (and then it's reset), but it just doesn't (hasn't) work(ed) like that for me -- at all. I wonder if it's fixed now? Last night in my frustration, I went to my alert preferences and triple checked to make sure everything that was supposed to be checked was checked. It was! So I unchecked everything (that was not working) and I saved the changes. I waited little bit and then went back and turned them back on. Now I am getting alerts. At least seemingly "now".
