I don't understand why people go through the trouble of cleaning cartos. The coil is what degrades over time. Like about a week.

I agree. The only good in cleaning them is to remove a flavor. Once the coil is gunked up, they're done. You can't dry fire to remove the gunk without burning up the filler. Now a clearo is a different story...

I agree with you on all cartomizers EXCEPT the genuine joyetech. You can remove the carto shell from them and the filling. Then dry burn as you would an atomizer. Actually they are a normal atomizer with filling on top of them.

I use Kanger cartos (808's and 510's) exclusively now.....since you can't really clean the Boge and Smoktech Vertical Coils.

You pull polyfill out with tweezers, rinse, blot dry with a paper towel. Dry burn coil about 20 pulses until no smoke (gunk). Rewrap polyfill around a coffee stirrer straw (fits perfectly over the air tube) and return polyfill into carto.

You can clean and dry a carto in under a minute. Works great on all horizontal coil cartos including Smokeless Image. I just prefer a 2.0 LR carto myself.
