The only other concern is how the cap & tank are attached to the body, while not at all pocket friendly it is worth every penny.

Been carrying this one around, and have had it with me for days. The top cap and chamber are threaded together, and the assembly is tight and secure. You might consider switching to a silicone o-ring on the stock top cap. It will grip the glass much better than the stock rubber. Worse case you could glue the top of the glass to the top cap in two places. Personally, I intend to carry this around, and will do whatever to make it secure.

Interesting, so it was more of a novelty to you? I find the flavor to be superior to my Sub tanks. It's not as plug & play as the Sub tanks but is worth the extra effort IMO.

The loose fitting top cap made me uneasy about taking it outside of my home. I just KNOW I'm going to lose it. Switching tanks began to annoy me. Can't use my favorite drip tip on it. The one time I did take it to work, my build started reading over 3 Ohms. Instead of rebuilding, I switched to my subtank with the idea of troubleshooting it at home. A bunch of little things that added up to me defaulting back to my subtank. I'm kind of a lazy vaper. Perhaps the problem is more me than the atty. LOL! I love the idea of this atty and the flavor was great except for Kremlin. That didn't taste right to me in that atty.

Nope, it's not you, I get it. I have the same issue with the loose top cap & being uneasy traveling with it but I'm determined to figure out a solution. The top cap design is weak for the reasons you mention, lack of drip tip's, etc but there's some positives that outweigh the negatives for me. That's the beauty of vaping, lot's of choices for all :thumb:

Truth! You speak truth. Versatility is one of the things I love most about vaping. If you devise a solution, let me know, please. I want to love this atty more than I do.

Which tank is this. Just got my Fountain, the one with the Wolf engraving, and the top is press fit, no threading. The one pictured looks a bit shorter as well. Thanks!

Yeah. I'm finding the flavor superior to all my tanks. The only ones that are really close are modified with a 1/2" chimney. The Fountain is now my reference atty for comparing builds on my other tanks. Just yesterday, with the same juice, I had it up against my new Bellus and a Goblin with a proven build. Clear flavor margin over those two.

It's a Fountain V2 with the graphic removed and adapted for side air. Posted a few pages back: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/f...atty-not-your-mod.695920/page-6#post-16720779

Sorry, these threads move so fast, I forgot you've been modding it. Nice job, you don't have to worry about the top cap coming off. Perhaps offer your services to the builders of this mod, so they could make a better product! I just bought one to play with as its so inexpensive. I sqonk with my Reo Mini 14500, but thought this might be fun to try on my new LavaBox DNA200.

I do hope these catch on and whoever is making them gets a little creative with top cap options. No sign of that yet, and I've no interest in waiting. Cloners usually do nothing to advance the design. (Orchid was an exception for a while.)

I just built my second one with a Ni200 build, 28awg, .08. This one the top cap & glass are tighter. I sanded the bottom of the screws first but decided to wrap around the top of the screws instead. I'm running dual coils at screw height, maybe a little higher to get the coils towards the top of the chamber by the air holes. I'm getting a wet juicy vape, perfectly smooth & satisfying. I prefer TC over VW so this is perfect for me, no dry hits with tons of vapor.

This is good advice for somebody (like me) who doesn't particularly like top air. Get the coils up closer to your kisser. ;)

I've never owned a top air atty but as I was building it I figured it makes sense to get those coils near the top. The more I use it the more I like it, now if someone could clone the clone but make it with a screw top we'd have ourselves a winner.

Thanks for posting that video. Can't believe a vaper managed to get all of the essential information done in less than 15min. This Old House shows you how to rebuild an entire house in an hour, but vapers need 30min to discuss one RDA.

My top cap is really loose as in if I were to try to hold it at an angle like he did, it'd likely wobble out. Perhaps I should just get another one to see if it's tighter. I didn't get a spare bottle or spare glass. All of my edges are pretty sharp.

Perhaps our quest for the original is futile. Perhaps it's being marketed as a clone as a means of beta testing it and it's actually made by the Snow Wolf people which explains the lovely design.

Or maybe I'm subconsciously exaggerating my issues with the tank and the real problem is that I don't want to leave the house with that engraving.
