I noticed the holes on the ceremac cup on the .357, I guess the material doesn't allow the juice to flow in as easily?

Awesome review, man. I really did enjoy watching. Especially the sacrifice, I appreciate it :)

Glad you liked the video.

I imagine that those holes in the cup allow excess juice to flow into the material surrounding the cup. Thank you for pointing that out...I'm thinking that the .357 was designed to prevent leaking when over dripping...while the hybrid was designed to hold juice in the metal material and wick it to the coil.

Given the fact that the hybrid is a Vapage product...and they make the Vmod...I would assume the hybrid was originally designed with bottom feeding in mind....whereas the .357 was not since the creators of the atomizer are drippers (the first version of the .357 had a closed post which shows that bottom feeding wasn't taken into consideration from the onset).

These pics were posted on the HH.357 thread of its internals.

The poster said it looked like rust/corrosion.

It's rust as far as I can tell...and I ran into the same issue with the first HH.357 that I had. I talked to cisco about it...the reason it happened was because I cleaned it out and let it sit and dry without eliquid in it.

I did test this to make sure his explanation was correct...and it is. As long as you follow the cleaning directions...(soak for 1 hour, blow out, prime with PG or eLiquid) you shouldn't run into this issue.

in the photo below...that was after letting it dry out for about a day. I later cleaned my second HH.357 and followed the directions exactly...let it sit for two weeks...and didn't have any issues with rust or discoloration.

Cisco quickly replaced my atomizer at his cost when I alerted him to the problem. He shipped me a replacement and sent me a shipping label for the return. It's important to note that he offered this without any arguing and without me asking him to pay for the return shipping. It was probably the most pleasant experience I have had dealing with a return to a vender.

All that said...I've never seen this issue in an atomizer before.

stainless steel shouldn't rust/corrode by letting it go dry. and Im curious about the wool breaking in tiny little pieces and we inhaling it afterwards.
great video!! thank you for doing it!

You're welcome buddy!

I don't think there is much to worry about with the wool breaking apart. I would like to see them source a different material though. I have a feeling this product will evolve...we'll see.

the sealed HH.357 that i got from the very first batch is by far the best atomizer I've ever tried. It's still kicking!!
I didn't care for the opened post ones. it was just meh and bellow ordinary to the point that when I killed it by having 8+V going through its coil I was even happy that I could finally dissect it and figure out what was the big secret.
steel wool? I was hoping to find some ss mesh accurately wrapped around and the seal that I was thinking would be some mesh shaped like a cone with a tiny ball in the center instead there was nothing but more steel wool on the bottom of the ceramic cup.
So i thought I could do an HH.357 myself. An MD.357!!! Since then i destroyed a half a dozen attys and still no 357.
I kept the very first one HH.357 and sold the 2 remaining new ones I had. The fact that no one seemed to care much about the pictures I posted and/or my concerns has led me to decide not to buy them anymore.

As for the hybrids I gotta be frank that I dont care much about them. To me they are average at best. But Vapage has shown a top notch customer service and I think they're on the right track. If there was a Cisco coil on these atomizers it'd be no match to no one!
If I had to pick a second best atty to me it'd be the Smartvapes dripping atomizer. Coincidentally these are also bottom sealed attys...

being a member for almost 2 years on ECF and I never wrote this much altogether!:blush:sorry peeps!

what do you think about the vapage attys on your RSM. I ordered 6 of the 2ohm attys, I heard they were the best.

Just want to clarify...I do believe that your photos bring up a possible issue with the atomizer...and I find it weird that no one has said anything about it. I would think that Hanna might want to find a more suitable metal mesh rather then continue to use the steel wool.

Even if the HH.357 was great, will never order from Avid again. I ordered three weeks ago, paid $12 for shipping, send several e-mails on the status and this is what they have to say:

I am sorry for the delay, you will need to give this more time to arrive, we have experienced packages taking in excess of 5 weeks to arrive.

This is from the shipping policy on our site:

Since we rely on third party shipping entities like USPS, UPS, FedEx, and foreign customs agancies to handle the shipment of our products, Avid Industries, Inc. can make no Guarentees or warranties about delivery dates or our products, Avid Industries, Inc. cannot be held liable for any damages or inconveniences caused by late product delivery, loss of items during shipment, or customs delays.

This notice is in bold RED when you check out:

All First Class and Priority orders inside the US (50 states) ship with delivery confirmation, this is not a tracking number although USPS sometimes updates the location status but not always. Signature confirmation for domestic first class and priority mail are available as an option. Domestic and International USPS/EMS Express Mail carries a tracking number and signature confirmation. First Class and Priority Mail International shipping are NOT trackable and do not carry delivery confirmation outside the US, because of this we have no recourse if a shipment is delayed, held in customs, lost, or never delivered. USPS/EMS Express Mail International is the only trackable shipping method outside the USA. Please be aware of this when choosing your shipping method.

So my mistake that I did not pay $30 for shipping of an atty!!!!! I have never had this with any supplier, they took care of me they way they should!!

Maybe it's stuck in customs in the netherlands? I can't really speak to international shipping going out of the US...I know coming in can be pretty quick but costs a lot.

the point is not if it is stuck, the point is how avid takes care of it's customers.....

What would have been your ideal solution to the problem? and did you specifically ask them if they could help you out in the way in which you preferred?

I did deal with Cisco over a replacement atomizer and he was very accommodating...much more so then anyone else I have dealt with. But of course everyone will always have a different experience depending on the day/time/issue etc.

What options are there? The vendor should come to me like: wait x more weeks then....or we will send you another package and if the first one arrives please send it back...or we can refund you or...we can't help you, have a nice day and read the fine print again..... be proactive and don't let the client decide....!! That is the preferred service I expect or?

I guess we all have different experiences. I found them pretty accommodating...even though I didn't care for the product.
