ChangeLab Solutions = Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation = Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson = NRT products

Money trail leads where it leads.

Where are the investigative reporters? We do a better job at uncovering deception than the FBI ... Oh, are they supplemented by cig tax too? Haha, I wouldn't doubt it.

If the demon regulations are ugly for vapers, I think we'll see a slight uptick in CASAA membership.
And when I say slight I mean huge.

I agree but will it be too late by then? I'm pretty sick of the apathy of those who vape on ECF. I can understand Joe Average who gets his vaping supply from the gas station not knowing the score. But on ECF, there is no excuse.

I'm not sure 60 Minutes would be on our side. Many of their episodes were the 'seeds' for new regulations.

I think you are right, unfortunately. I wish John Stossel had a larger following. John Stossel would be a good replacement for Andy Rooney although I would like him to have a bigger part in a show like 60 minutes. But it makes sense that he is at Fox.

I know how you feel. My stomach churns too. It's getting to where I could care less about vaping gear.

Not care about vape gear? Say it ain't so! :D

As for the apathy, I see that in just about every issue until it gets to a tipping point. Sad, but true.

Its true, My Shinyitis has turned into Blahitis. . :(

DC stared a good cow tipping thread. Lets hope others follow suit, and shake these bulls by the horns.

Anyone want to here my story from back in 2009 when I found e-cigarettes
and bought an 808 Pen-style and was totally satisfied and I stopped smoking immediately.
The eGo wasn't even on the market at that time.
:p

The CDC thing really energized the base for all those opposed to e-smoking
and I suggest it was "planned" in advance to rally support for the FDA
to step in to save the childreeeeeen.

Yes, it appears the propaganda machine has been well oiled this time around. I'm certain the government wants to insure they done have a failure like the '09 failure.

I believe the first draft will be very restrictive, but as the process takes its course I expect some easing before final regulations are set. I also believe if the regulations are too restrictive there will be lawsuits challenging the regulations which could possibly hold them up for quite a while. As a layman, I can only wait and see and provide a voice and support for the cause.

The FDA has also said they will follow the science, so here's hoping they read past the headlines and come to the same conclusions we vapers have.

Whose "science"? The science coming out of Cali doesn't much look like what most would consider scientific rigor and isn't the CDC supposed to be a scientifically driven agency?

This country is ADDICTED to Regulations and Paranoid about safety.
In other words ... If it ain't Regulated then it Can't Be Safe.
Most today are co-dependent on Mommie Government and its Agencies
to keep us safe so they do not have to assume any Personal Responsibilities.
Freedom of choice ... Well, yes ... As long as Mommie Government approves.

Are E-cigarettes FDA Approved ??
NO ... But Chantix is.

What's the answer ??
Baring Revolution ... I haven't got a clue.
