I have not had another leak yet... I filled it about 35 minutes ago and let it set for 30 which is longer than it sat previously before the leak began, then took a few drags and set it down again standing it up on end. Since this is only the 5th fill... I haven't refilled it enough times to show anything of significance ( statistically speaking that is ).

Someone asked how to stop a siphon... simple, introduce air into the system. Also as mentioned, a siphon issue is only one possibility but it is far from proven.

I'll repeat the fill again later and again I'll let it sit for some time.. I'll report back IF I get a leak again... If I don't, I'll just repeat the fill process a few more times to see if this unit has a habit of leaking... or if the two leaks I did have were just coincidental in my case.

PS... Mine is still dry hitting pretty often even after I modded the wick... this is the lesser issue but I thought it was still important enough to mention it again just to pass on the info.

Well i know this does not help the ones that are having leaking, just wanted to say i have 2 c8's filled using the method shown in the video with 70/30 and they are working just fine.

1 has been filled twice and the other on its 4th fill. Wonder if all the problems are caused by just over filling? I fill them just short of full, still have a small air bubble in them.

rdsok, thank you so much for that, with all your info i will know fi we should have them improved, i dont mind dropping products if its not wanted, ill find 3 more to replace it, so thats not a issue. but they are built very well, if we can improve them through the help of all of you and you all would like to see them improved well then ill do so. i cant go telling them how this juice or pure vg doesnt work well etc, ill get the use pg responce, but i can tell them to do this and that to them and send us betas to test then go into production

On my first two fills... I left a good size air gap at the top ( didn't know better and thought that was recommended )... The first fill didn't leak, the second one did...

The 3rd, 4th and 5th fills were done inverted ( 510 connector up )... 3rd fill didn't leak, 4th did... 5th didn't... no air bubbles left in the 3rd and 4th... the 5th I did have a small 1/4" bubble because I backed off of the syringe after filling it, the 5th hasn't leaked yet.

I'm about to remove the liquid and refill now...

Ok.. mine just leaked on the 5th fill... just before I started to empty it...

Perhaps it is nothing but... Just prior to the leak... I remove the top plug and tried a few drags, I was trying to repeat what robl44 had done and ended up with a leak, and where timh had no leak or issues. I was still able to get a dry hit after a couple of drags so I replaced the plug, set down the eGo ... typed my last response above .. and then picked up the PV in order to empty it ...

If this is a clue... the straw analogy may be what is happening... the top vents aren't sealing properly in certain units which would allow the fluid to flow and leak. In otherwords, the unit may require that it maintain a minor vacuum in rgw liquid chamber in order to not leak.

timh:: the thing also is when you try the newest phoenix you might not say that so quickly, it hits as hard as a dual coil , you can vape it dry, it keeps flavor in every drag, i dont say that lightly either, and the throat hit is very intense at 17mg juice that isnt so intense in lets say a vision regualr.

and the vapor production seems off the charts. the draw back is it must be filled upside just like steeljan showed and its back to syringes, the pheonix is completly sealed so when it filled there isnt any air escaping which might be happening ont he c8

RANDY, i think so too, thats why the phoenix keeps the juice inside, no air is getting in, where as the c8 migth not have a perfect seal or what your trying to explain. im not good at explaining it well.

i leave mine with a little bubble as well when filling. I didn't get a leak tonight on the cart I used this evening. I was sure the rubber piece was on correctly, it did dry hit through most of the night though, makes sense that it wouldn't leak, can't flood if its dry hitting.

I took the other one that i filled at the same time and pulled the plug off that and made double sure its definately on right so we will see what happens.

if that fixes it, a suggestion I can make it maybe they could make it easier to fit the top plug, a bigger hole to get the top rubber piece into would help, maybe a tapered tip coming off of the rubber piece. its quite a PITA to line up that hole at least for me.

Bad I look at these like we did with the CEs they are worth improving .This is a goog product .Just needs a little work.

P.S. I am willing to do what I can to help

+1 here...

If the issues aren't resolve, as I said at first, I wouldn't be interested in another one... but I really like the build of these... if the issues can be resolved its a win win.
