Ok report back for the day......it started leaking when about 1/2 way down, then just died, brought it home it metered O, FYI I have been using this on a Riva Ego. SO all in all I got less than 24 hrs vaping on 2 C8's. So now it doesn't matter what they look like, function over form is the important thing in the end. Man I was hopeful, but alas the C8 is not ment to be for me. Hope the vision Ego's work better for me

Still using my orig 2 c8, 50/50 mix on a KGO. Still filling with bottle on its side, i fill leaving a small air bubble and make sure to align cap. They vape fantastic, no leaking

First one has dump once and been fine after that, i think it was about fill number 8 or so. Now have over 20 fills.
Second one no dump or leaks at all and working on number 16 fill.

My second hasn't leaked again since the first time either, but I keep it on its side now.

I think GV does list the warranty (or lack thereof) on the product pages well enough. I know that a lot of folks ordered these knowing it was a new product. I would have still bought the 2 I did. They have amazing flavor IMO. If the first wouldn't have broken the solder joint on the bottom pin, it would likely still work. If the second didn't leak out like it did, I probably wouldn't even complained about these issues.

Lord Davon, I read earlier where you asked someone if the solder failed at the bottom pin it could be fixed I believe. What's your thoughts about soldering this? I don't want to completely destroy it if I can fix it. Any ideas?

Also, I think the leaking may be connected to the green straw somehow. I removed the bottom cap to clean my second one (the one that leaked), and the straw appeared to not be glued in or even tight as it stayed in the top when removed. The firs one the straw stayed in the bottom and I don't remember ever removing it. Just a thought.

It all depends on your solder skills, but they are repairable.

I'd say I'm fair. May be better than fair. I can definitely solder this bad boy, but I don't see the wire. I didn't know if there is a safe way to get inside the compartment containing the coil and the wire I need. I just didn't see a way. May be the top metal section comes off, or the bottom. Probably the bottom. Don't see the top piece coming off as it appears to be a seamless piece.

ok just got my c8. man it looks sweet and my sapphire pen cover things fit just fine.
but i did notice when i tried to take out the mouthpiece the top threaded piece tried to come out of the tube. also i found playing with it that is seems difficult to get the plug lined up just right so the little nib goes in the hole to seal it.
i wonder if these are factors in the random dumping...
heh guess i just need to fill this sucker up and see what happens lol

Go for it and let us know your findings.

Okay- I got one cause I didnt read this thread - I filled it up anyway- it DID leak out while I was filling VERY slowly, it leaked at the top and the bottom-

Now, I put it on my Riva and I get NOTHING. the light on the button comes on, but there is NO vapor, no NOTHING- I just get plain air that smells like strawberrys. I am guessing that mine is DOA. ?????

All I want is something to replace my fluxo's cause it seems like everytime I get money to order they are out.

OK, I bought three of these when they were released, and have only used one of them so far and have been very happy. No leaks even after the first fill, which I didn't use a syringe for. But now I have a problem. I was using last night no problems, set it down for a minute and then when I wen to vape it doesn't fire. It is on my KGO and when I push the button the button flashes a few times and then won't fire at all. If I remove the C8 the PV will fire like normal and fires with other carto's on it. What happened, did it just die? Haven't tried the other unused ones yet because there at home and I am away at the moment but was wondering if there was a fix. Any help would be great.

Try this suggestion that harmonic mentioned.Maybe the center pin on the C8 is not out far enough.
