Once I was past my first year of college, my voice professor would always admonish me to not make "freshman mistakes" when I was singing.

Guess the same applies to vaping.

Last night I was all comfy in my jammies, snuggled up with the puppy. I picked up my e-cig, stuck it in my mouth and totally WITHOUT THINKING picked up a lighter and tried to LIGHT IT.

Fortunately, I realized my mistake in an instant and didn't even singe or melt the tip. Please tell me I am NOT the only one who has ever done that!!!

Old habits die hard. Bad old habits die harder.

That's pretty common. Me and my guy both tried to do the exact same thing within the first weeks or three.

The funniest was when the other half found a loose thread on his shirt. He tried to burn it off with the LED of his PV. I laughed out loud on that one.

Other common oopses:

*Throwing the PV out the car window
*Dropping it on the ground and trying to step on it to "put it out"
*Ashing it
*Fumbling it and jumping back suddenly to avoid getting burnt

All of these are followed by  and often

LOL, LOL at throwing it out the car window! That would make me so mad! I'm sure I'll do something crazier than trying to light it at some point...I do fully expect that I will drop one in the lake while fishing at some point. Hopefully it will be in shallow water in warm weather cause I'd hate to dive for it when it's 25 degrees!

I guess I gotta buy nail clippers to keep in the boat! I always used a cig to burn the line when I retied. I justified MANY cigs that way, and changed lures quite often :D

I find myself cracking the window when I drive sometimes. I also "flip" the cig to throw off the ash. A couple of times I've gone through the motion of almost tossing the cig when approaching a non-smoking area or a group of people, realizing just then what I was doing and having to laugh.

Muscle memory is real. Now where's that lighter dammit?

It's funny, the holding habits. I find that I hold my Modern Vapor like a pipe, and my mini health e-cig like a regular smoke, while I hold my vapor 9 like a pen or even straight out like a lolli-pop. My girlfriend holds hers like a regular cig but at almost a straight downward angle.
