Soooo Noob mistake

Started with the joy510 last Dec. Loved it-got mine from Arno at awesomevapor.com. The original attomizer is still going strong. I moved up to an Ego a couple months back because I got tired of changing the 510 battery every 2 hours. The Ego is like the 510 on steriods-you will love it. I too quit smoking with my ecigs. Don't feel bad i got a Blu too! Send it back!!!!! I think you should go with a Ego set and get a 510/901 adapter. That way you can use the kr8 cartomizers! I got my Ego from Nicotine Nirvana and i love it! I'm new too so i can't be sure on where you should order from. I do like Awesome Vapors juice and TW.

Hi my names matt and i stumbled across this forum yesterday when i was researching e cigs.

I made the mistake, according to everyone, to buy a blu lol

I bought this because i tried the safecig and didn't like it because it was very limited.

I had a couple questions

1. Should i keep the blu cig and buy another or just send it back and buy another.

2. i was looking at the Joye 510 on the beginners vaping page and wanted to know if it has cartomizers too because if i got that i wouldnt want to drip all the time. This seems like a good cig to me but i would like to be able to have to drip once for like 30 drips and be done with it.

let me know and i cant wait to get around these forums more it sounds like a fun little hobby to pick up (and getting rid of a bad habit at the same time)

i'd go with the 510 to start.. i have a 510, screwdriver and sparkplug.. i use them all regularly.. but the 510 is still my crutch.. although all three have strong points.

i would also cancel the blu order.

by the way.. i had the 510 exclusively for about the first 3 months.. been smokefree for 8 months now.. and my original 510 still works fine.

Well, I'm not a Blu fan, but a Volcano fan. If you can only afford one, send the Blu back and get a 510. If you can afford both, keep the Blu, mod the carts and use both. I started with a Joye 510 and soon picked up a Volcano. Now I've added Volcano's Magma (I personally like the attys better) and a DSE 801 penstyle. I carry my Volcano and my Magma every day and use them both.

Out of the box the L88B (Blu/Volcano) are not the greatest. It takes a day or so to break in the atty, a little quicker if you clean it first, and the factory carts aren't very consistant. First thing I would do is to get some blue foam and mod the carts, then get some juice, probably a sample pack from one of the juice vendors. With moded carts and good juice, the L88B becomes a very good little device, little is the key here. It's great for a quick puff or two and is very easy to hide in your hand for a stealth vape. If you were a very light smoker, this may be enough for you.

I would also get a 510 from either CigNot, VaporKings, or get a Volcano Magma. These are much heavier hitting and can give more vapor. Another plus of the 510 type of PV is there are a lot of options that fit them like cartomizers. It will also work with your Blu parts, which can give you a Blu atty (better flavor) with a longer lasting battery. All of your Blu parts will work with a 510 PV except the chargers. The chargers are reversed polarity so should never be mixed.

I don't want to flame the fire of Vaping Addiction, but they make an "eGo" for the Kr808 cartomizers now called the Elegant, sold by CigEasy. Exact same concept as the eGo for the 510 - same vape, on a big battery.

I'm getting good enough battery life from my standard Kr8, but it does look interesting, and it's very aesthetically pleasing in the brushed gold finish.

Just want to add there is a big difference in cartomizers. The 510 ones from Ikenvape are awesome. Great taste and plumes of vapor. I had some other ones that were no where near as good. There is a thread on Iken's sub forum about the difference. Think it is posted by witchway and she has good photos of the differences.

The Blu sucks, the battery life is awful, the customer service terrible....

Shipping time for carts = 1 month

Bad Bad Bad

They would not respond to my emails and I was unable to return under 30 days

so I cancelled the charges with my credit card company, the next day they shipped the carts I had been waiting for... So I cancelled those charges too!
