Everyone is Different.

For me, I Couldn't get over the Hump and quit Smoking on 24mg. I had to go to 36mg for about 3 weeks.

After I felt I was out of the Danger Zone of going back to Analogs, I dropped back down to 24mg. Did that for about 3 or 4 months. Then did 18mg for a Long time.

Now I alternate between 18mg in the Day and 0mg a Lot at Night.
Why zero at night?

What is vaping zero nic like? Do you just get taste and no throat hit?

I don't Sleep that good as is. Never have.

I have found that using 0mg when the sun goes down gives me a Better Nights Rest.

For the Flavors I like, Sweet Candy and Fruit Flavors, 0mg Tastes Better than e-liquids with Nicotine in it. Nicotine to me has a Slightly Bitter, Peppery taste.

I'm not looking for TH. So I can't compare 0mg to 18mg all that well. I sweeten Heavily and us 70% VG to get away from TH.

When I first started vaping, a friend advised me to start at 18mg. That just did not cut it for me. I would vape for an hour then go have a cig. I moved up to 36mg which finally soothed my cravings but could not sleep at night. I went down to 26mg and stayed on it for about a month. Still, I am a chain vaper and 26mg was making me jittery and I was having CRAZY ... dreams. July will be my one year mark. (Since I started vaping. I still smoke about 5 - 8 cigs/week) So I am not totally clean but, a vast improvement from 2 PAD. I can kind of understand the OPs warning but everyone is different and will eventually find a comfortable nic level.

I never liked throat hit. Feels very harsh.

I love the more full, billowy feeling and taste of high VG with less flavor and TH. Its mellow in sort of a "big" way for me.

Guess fulfillment is different for everyone. :)

Well for real smokers, especially ones who smoked analog menthol's, if you don't get a throat hit, you dont feel like you are smoking

That's interesting! The guy at the shop recommended I not pull it into my lungs, but I neglected to ask why. I prefer the feeling of deep vaping as opposed to shallow/in the mouth. Thanks for the info
Well, if it makes you feel better, it most likely makes almost no difference in the end.

i think your problem is more the pain medications interacting with nicotine, than your nicotine delivery theory. as a rule ecigs deliver much less nicotine than reg cigs. this is more likely the formula followed by vapers. 3PAD(like me)- 36 MG. 2PAD- 24MG. 1PAD- 18 MG. these are generally the levels needed for a person to put the ciggies down for good. once that is accomplished the individuals own body will let him/her know if and when to step down. and hydrating like the FDA is going to ban water next week helps a lot with deleterious effects from vaping.
you do not take into account the lies we were taught about nicotine our whole lives. every individual is different where the cig addiction is concerned, but the nagging fear of withdrawal effects, and lack of nicotine play a powerful part in this process. 40 days in i switched from 16 mg to 0 mg out of curiosity about all the dread from threads about withdrawal. i vaped 0 nic for 1 month successfully, without the tobacco addiction in play there was no suffering from the lack of nicotine that i suffered from my whole life. now i know when i decide to stop vaping permanently, there is no fear from nicotine withdrawal, and i can enjoy the next 9 months (with nicotine) without the nagging fear.

bottom line everyone has to find the level of nicotine necessary to continue on the road of non smoking. trial and error gets you there

No throat hit at all. No feeling of inhaling anything other than plain air with some flavor.

I'm not exact sure I would describe it this way. But as it has been Stated Very Clearly in this Thread, Everyone is Different. I say if Anyone has Never Tried 0mg e-Liquid, pick up a Small Bottle of your Favorite Mix and Try It.

You Might Like it.
Or, You Might Not.
