I have started to change my diet. Eating less processed foods mainly. So I drastically cut back going out to lunch at work. Easiest money I ever saved. Lunch average is 10 bucks per day. 10*5 or 50 bucks a week. 50*52 = 2600 in savings over a year. Sounds kinda ridiculous, though.

Now I get some good food in me and a 30 minute jog at lunch.

since we are sharing tips....I enjoy cooking but we do go out to eat 1-2 times a month using certificates from Restaurant.com we buy a bunch of $25 ones when they are on sale for $2 each and even with the minimum purchase and tips dinner costs us under $15 for 2 or 3, we enjoy trying smaller local restaurants in our community, get foods I may not cook and dont feel deprived. If a restaurant stops participating or goes out of business they exchange them for you. They dont expire and make good gifts as well
