Which regulated mod are you using? I love vaping on mech squonker mods and use them most of the time, however on occasion I will screw my RDA into my regulated mod (Voopoo Drag) and tbh the flavour is nearly identical to the mech.

Maybe try running your regulated device in bypass mode using the same coils you use on a mech, should be a very similar experience.

    Not possible.

A mod is just a battery holder.

At the same voltage the same atty will taste exactly the same.

    I disagree!
There are other variables besides being a battery holder.
Because I use bottom air toppers, just the tightness that the topper is attached to the mod will change the flavor.
Direct DC current will alter the flavor ........

I'm one who prefers mechs...they're practically all I use...but to say you get no flavor because you're using a regulated mod? Ummm....no.

They both send power to an atty....that's all they do. If you like a certain atty and build on a mech...put it on a regulated and set the power to wherever it needs to be to deliver 4 volts.

    funny, but not very helpful.
I know, I'm sorry... I'm just struggling with HOW to be helpful....if you have 3.7 - 3.9 volts going to the atty on a mech and it works great.... then you have 3.7-3.9 volts going to your atty on a regulated mod and there's no flavor.... well, it just doesn't make sense. Power is power.....a mech doesn't make magical flavor enhanced power and a regulated mod doesn't make flavor lacking power. They both just make power. It would be easily explained if you had some wacky super build that performed well on a VW mod but sucked on a mech....but this? No.....maybe your mod is broken.

no problem, it’s just I should be able to figure this out.
I’ve tried two different mods, same issue.
Somebody told me it’s because regulated mods use pulse width modulation.
    That would kinda explain it.
So if you could override the pwm then you could set a voltage match.
To do that you have to use hacked firmware and I don’t want that.
Other posibility is to go to high ohm coils.

yes, i prefer my mech, but it’s not good as a portable.
Do you know a mech that works good as a portable (fits in a pants pocket) ?
