Thanks everybody. I guess I should have done more research before purchasing this specific model. I'll try adjusting the coils and maybe adding a dual and see if that helps.

If you can not get it running I can send you a IGO-BF to try. It is not a RM2 but it has great flavor and made for single coils. I use it with a .9 - 1.2ohm coil. Shoot me a pm with address and I will get it in the mail.

This is an important comment from the man behind the mod. We read about it all the time. Someone can't get a fancy dual coil adjustable atty to work for them and the first vape experience it not as they imagined. Don't get me wrong I like fancy and I like choices but success rate is better on RM2.

Rob you should make a first time REO buying kit and only sell the RM2 with it. The wide ceramic deck with the screw-on cap and pre positioned air hole made it easy for this country boy.

One short sentence on the Reo ordering pages could avoid a lot of frustrations. "Read this before ordering for the first time". Then a click on that could take them to one page that tells them if they're getting the LP Reo to be sure to also get the LP Reomizer, etc. And Rob's recommendations could appear there too. There are a lot of the same issues being adressed over and over and over on these threads with new buyers when this could be solved so easily. Had I read a page like that, it would have saved me both disappointment and money after ordering my first Reo.

I run duals of 26g @ 0.3-0.4Ω in mine. I use the biggest airholes, wide open and i like to be able to see the coils thru them.

Running duals offsets the bigger size of the chamber compared to say, an RM2 and means i can get a full flavoured vape and massive clouds if i like. My coils are slightly tilted so the RxW touches the base of the atty and i trust it to transport juice to my coils, because they have to be relatively high up to align with the airholes.

On a RM2, i'd just ram the coil on the deck and not worry about it - the RM4 is a different animal.

Sorry for all the noob questions but do regular RBAs work on the Reo? Wouldn't they need to be built for bottom feeding? I tried checking with the local vape shops here. They were all amazed by the Reo but were pretty clueless in helping me with it.

You are correct, they need to be a bottom feeder atty (BF/ have a hole in the 510 and center post for juice to be delivered- thats one of the reasons the reo is amazing! )

Congrats on your reo. Don't get too discouraged, my first reo, I purchased the RM4. I regretted it at first, but after a few builds I was happy.

I recommend sticking with single coil builds, until you get a feel for where the coil needs to be aligned at; at least, thats what I did. It's gonna be easier than taking the time to build two coils that are not that great. I really liked the 1.3ohm coil I build on a 2mm screwdriver with 28ga. Once I got that down, I moved on to duals, between .7-.8 ohms... then finally, I settled with a 0.5ohm dual, ID 1.4mm...

I found the coil position to be key, and the amount and placement of wick to also be a huge factor. As we say, less is really more!

edit: Also, hold the top cap next to the base ontop of the lip where it will sit. See where the airholes are? Thats where you want you coil to be. Centered vertically and horizontal (as best as possible) and as far out to the edge of the deck as possible. I use the post holes as a rough guide, as to where they should be placed vertically.

Good luck & congrats!

I still can't make a perfect coil everytime, but when I do its worth it!

Here's a 0.5ohm dual 28ga 1.4mm ID .. could be a bit higher, but it works. When its centered, its easier for the wicks to come down to the deck without touching the sides, which leads to juice getting on the top cap and in your mouth...

Sounds a lot like the problems I had when switching to RBAs...

The vapor was ok but flavor was non-existant, nothing like what I experienced with the HH357 atomizers I was using before.

I still use a RBA today, but I will always see the HH357 as the reference for the most perfect vape I ever had, and so far, Ive only scratched the surface of making my RBA perform like I want.

Have you tried an Igo-S (Igo-bf from Reosmods) or an RM3 with a 30 gauge 8 or 9 wrap coil on a 1/16" drill bit? I have to cut commercial juices to around 33% of their original flavor with that setup, otherwise its just too over the top IMO. YMMV. Just a thought, if you're still looking for something to try, may or may not help.
