Just ordered a SS and a brass Nemesis clone from FT. Couldn't decide between the two, so ordered both. Also ordered 2 of the FT kicks and a 10 pack of magnets. Russian 91 also in the mail from evc. Hoping the 2 nemesis clones aren't going to be money down the drain.

Any suggestions on setting up the FT nemesis clones besides washing. Will be my first mechanicals. Have 18650 10 amp high drain batteries on hand. Not planning on going sub ohm, will try to stay near .8 ohm and above. Need to order 28 gauge kanthal; have been using 30 gauge presently.

I have a hcigar nemesis clone due in tomorrow as well as a second kayfun Lite Plus coming. I have a pair of US18650VTC4 IMR 2100 mAh 30A and a pair of Efest IMR 18650 2500mah 35A which I also use in my Lambo 6 which is a 20 amp max wattage on a vv ww device. I haven't ordered the magnets yet and will when I see how I like the switch on it. I did order a Kick 2 though with it from the same place.

All depends on Which 2 Nemesis models you purchased. FT has about 5 now.

These are the Best of their selection:
$24.63 Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod - stainless steel / with telescopic 510 contact pin at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$19.79 Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod - brass version at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These are the first releases and have come down in price, about $5 lower.
Make sure you completely disassemble and thoroughly clean Every part to remove Manufacturing contaminants.
Place a bit of grease on the switch post while assembling.

DO NOT LOOSE your rice pins.:D

I have the mixed model. The "brass" is not really brass. It's coated steel. This wears off after a while. The switch will be fussy as hell until you do the magnet upgrade and thread lock the contact screw. I think filling the threaded hole with tiny bits of paper to tighten the screw down on works the best. This makes the threaded contact tight in the switch body and stops the constant need to re-adjust. so people say to use loctite but I can't recommend that. You need good electrical path through the threads, so I wouldn't use it.

After these minor fixes, you will have a stellar mech mod. I use mine every day.

30 gauge works perfect (for me) in my Kayfun. Two strands of 2.5mm silica, wrap 4/5 wraps, and you've got about 1.1 ohms. I don't like anything below 1 ohm on a Kayfun (or anything besides a dripper), so I go through 30 gauge at lightning speed compared to 28.

These are the two that I ordered. Glad to see that you've recommended them. Any idea what size pin is used and what material to make several out of in case I drop and lose them? Is copper or brass better for continuity?

I've already received the Russian 91 from evcigarettes and using it now. 1.9 ohm 30 gauge kanthal wrapped on 1.8 mm bit 9/10 wraps with cotton wick. Flavor is great, settled in at 8 watts. Using a Tesla VV/VW mod. Good device, but Protanks leak juice through 510 connection and cause fire button to miss. Electrical contact cleaner sprayed into mod corrected this problem (battery removed). Need to get another air-flow controller to keep the juice out of the connection. Also have VTR with Taifun GS.

Probably have at least a month wait on the FT order. Watched video on the Nemesis and now understand how mod assembles and adjusts from the top down.

Currently have the following 18650 batteries: DISHY CRN 18650 2200 mAH 3.7V flat top, ORBTRONIC PD 2900 10 Amp high drain button top, and IMR 18650 3.7V 2000 mAh button top. The IMR batteries seem to be recommended. (These are all 10 Amp and would be used with FT kick)

Also want to get batteries for 18350 mode. Any recommendations?

Ignore stock status except on YOUR order page. Also - Inventory refills reasonably quick on many Items.

Not sure of the Pin size. Have read of people using Coat Hanger, Welding Rod and a few other items so it must not be to odd a size.
Brass has the slight edge in conductivity and should have the Smoother switch as they break in.(Brass on Brass vs. Brass on steel)

Sounds like you are pretty well ready to Rock once they arrive.

the one my brother has is great. looks good and my only issue is the cheap locking ring. it sticks

the button wasnt horrible after a week or two but he did the magnet upgrade and said the button is amazing now. havnt tried it myself yet.

Hit wise this mod hammers hard. firing up the atty fast.

Im debating on what mod to buy FT or Hcigar. Wish I could try a Hcigar and see if its worth double the price

Received my order from FT on 3/18. Very pleased with my order. (Took almost exactly 1 month after ordering). The SS nemesis clone is working great. Completely disassembled both mods, rubbed threads with scotch-brite to remove burrs and also found burrs in the top-cap air holes that needed burrs removed. Also found small burrs in switch posts where anti-spin rice pins go. Removed these burrs as well. Lost 1 rice pin, but managed to find it again the following day. Rice pins measure 2mm x 6.1 mm (.0787 x .240) in case anyone else was wondering. Cleaned everything with dish soap and put in ultrasonic cleaner for 2 cycles. The kick is working. I've incased it in heat shrink material to help prevent any shorts from solder contacts. Magnets improved switch function. Will probably use 3 of them per switch. Would recommend
