Around here we call those funny looks jealousy.

They just want to be as cool as you. Meanwhile, they're choking on smoke.

If you're ever feeling gutsy, blow vape in their face and give them a reason to give you a funny look.

Thanks mate. I'll give that a try. I'll send some vape rings there way lol.

Lol... I get asked all the time about mine... In two months, the smoking group at my job has slowly been converting... I was #3

While many haven't stopped analog all together, everyone has commented about smoking less and less as time goes on... It's become a Social thing as much as anything.. Few heavy smokers have been hacking a bit, ie their lungs slowly clearing up... As more talk about smoking less, and breathing being better, while slow, is getting others to try it out.

Most are IT folks, so the gadget aspect also appeals

I'm also a bit of a techy so naturally the vaping/ vape mods stood out to me. By chance I was passing a vape store and decided to go in. The first thing I noticed was this cool light saber/sonic screwdriver on display. The innoken SVD. It had to be mine.

I used to be a punk rocker in my ever so slightly younger days complete with multi coloured mohican so the odd stare when I use my PV is water off a ducks back.Bring out bigger & shinier pvs I say ,stick a wig on your clearo, give the blighters a good reason to stare ,damn starey people...who do they think they are????!!!

I think I might surround my ecig with glowsticks then to make it stand out more. I now have in my possession a much smaller device. The MVP 2. My sausage fingers cover it up nicely.

My boss banned on the job vaping because too many people kept asking him why we where smoking an illegal product in the store. I still steal a puff every now and then =)

My boss is trying this on too. I think it for selfish reasons given that he is a smoker. He can't smoke his analogues at work and feels we should suffer. Damn smokers lol

The way smoking is now viewed I used to get funny looks when I was smoking...Like I can't believe she still smoking cigarettes! I really don't care now...all I know is I feel better , look better and smell better!

With a bigger wallet. Or in my case a bigger belly. ;(

I mostly get "is that a a a?" they don't know what to call it! I explain it and how it's been real good for me and then I give them a 10% coupon from a local shop I buy from. I took a couple drags in a restaurant the other night and I watched while the manager walked thru the isles of tables trying to find the "smoker". I don't know if someone complained or if he spotted the vapor. I thought it was comical but I didn't have the guts to do it again, I just went to the bathroom since it was cold outside... Another plus to vaping!

Eh, most people just see the cloud and think it's smoke. I've had people cover the mouths, cough and give me dirty looks. There are still a lot of misunderstandings regarding vaping and many people simply know nothing about it.

I've seem this, usually from some rich b with a pole up her .........I don't really vape in public that much at all. But the fee times I have it's been an experience.

I am afraid we are headed into some rough water as the debates are coming. Some people get it, others may never......

I've gotten the looks when I've used it at the bar I frequent. I've had people try to light up since they thought I was smoking, others have complained to the bar staff that I'm smoking and they just laugh and explain it's an ecig, another guy glared at me and kept saying "There's no smoking allowed in here." I said "Yup, I know" as I proceeded to continue vaping. I think he said it about 15 times just in case I didn't hear him the first time, I suppose. I did try to explain what it was to him but he didn't want to hear it. Meh. Other times I have people come up and ask what I'm using, how it works, how much it costs, and if I use it for weed

I have received many dirty looks and a boat load of questions, doesn't bother me though lol. I have converted about 37-40 people to vaping just at work. I don't push the thing on them. They ask and I tell basically hahahaha there use to be about 60-65 smokers on break and now there is only 23-28 now All because I wasn't afraid to vape and was willing to help them learn.

Outstanding Killaq!

That's the one thing I might be missing the opportunity for from having a "real" job (self-employed cabinet maker nowadays ;)) - the chance to share the vaping story and get a few more people off.

I'm up around 6-7, with a brother who says it's "promising".

You might think with the greatly reduced numbers of smokers there, someone in management might take notice, in a very positive way. People able to stay focused without the trips to the smoking lounge.

I spend most of my time away from other folks; one of the perks of retirement, a horse, and a lot of trails. The other riders don't even notice (staring at my big Friesian).

Fellow trail rider here. I should zip along on my Paso Fino leaving a huge vape cloud as I haul .... down the trail....:D

I get funny looks pretty frequently but I don't pay them any attention. It is difficult since my county is a HUGE tobacco producer. For the ones that are curious enough to ask I tell them, I don't try to push it on them but usually the conversation ends with an "Hmm, I could probably try something like that". I have thought about setting up a small vape shop seeing as the nearest one is 30+ miles away, plus it would be good to bring an alternative to smoking a little closer to so many people that still smoke. Also the only juice anybody around here carries is Vapor X (uhn uh).
