I get the looks cause I have huge plumes of vape escaping the car every time I have to roll my window down to clear it. :vapor:

Lol, that happens to me when I'm sitting in my car in the school parking lot (university). I'll fill the car like until it looks like it's on fire, then exit. Sometimes someone will walk past, appalled with mouth agape at the scene . Then they'll look completely perplexed, since they don't SMELL anything :blink:(I vape unflavored, 100%VG). Watching the creaky, empty hamster wheel turning in some people's minds is hilarious!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what it was, but the local vape shop near me had the largest VV mod I have ever seen in my life, by a HUGE margin. The tank on the thing looked like it could hold about 60ml of juice. It had to have been 2 feet tall without the topper, which was another 8 inches in height, and it was nearly as large in diameter as a coke can.

It was supposed to hold stacked 26650 batteries.

I need to go back and find out exactly what that thing was. It looked like a black Tesla VV, but it was larger than an Ehuge.

I really want one, only to see what looks I get with it.

I've noticed a few funny looks when vaping out on the streets. Particularly from smokers. Some look bewilded/puzzled, others look utterly disgusted. Just wondered if anyone else has had any strange looks off people whilst vaping. Makes me feel uncomfortable slightly. I have had a couple of people come up to me ask me what it is.

constantly but i invite it i tend to ask them what they are looking at then spark up a conversation about vaping. a lot of smokers are not educated on the matter and just think it's going to have more health issues for long term use. i've gotten a lot of people to convert because of the looks. don't let it bother you the majority of them are too "cool" to try vaping cuz its "gay" i just laugh at those ones and say continue to smell like an ashtray and build up tar in your lungs and i'll enjoy my wonderful tasting non smelling (well bad smelling) e-cig. use it as motivation to open the publics eye towards the vaping community

I once was pulled over while sub-ohming, I saw the cop with a huge smile coming to my completely fogged car, but once I rolled the windows he could just smell peach, that smile went off and just asked for my drivers license and let me go.
I think he was happy because he was about to make an arrest! jejeje

Its the Vape Hatters... They don't understand what your doing and all they see is some sort of white cloud coming out of your mouth... Its like when my parents used to give me crap for listening to Hair Metal bands in the early 80's... they just didn't get it... Its like when my kid listens to Miley Cyrus or some other no talent crap... I DON'T GET IT... :)

I can understand folks staring. Up until I got my first ecig (ego650 and carto tank) 9mo ago. My only knowledge of them was from researching cig-a likes as a stop smoking tool. I had never been exposed to one. So, yeah, I probably would have stared at someone vaping. Especially if they were cloud chasing and using a huge mod.

Things that are abnormal just draw stares of curiosity or even disgust. People, by nature, are paniky and suspicious of things they don't know. Educating ignorance is part of anything new and ecigs are new to a majority of people.

I spend most of my time away from other folks; one of the perks of retirement, a horse, and a lot of trails. The other riders don't even notice (staring at my big Friesian). Noticed at the gun range, I got a LOT of ... looks from the men in my age group, but none of em worked it up to ask me about it, being as you don't approach a lady with a rack of handguns waiting to shoot if you're smart. The younger crowd, though, asked freely about both my guns and my ecig gear n juice. Vaping is a substantial cultural shift no matter how you shake it, and as with any big change, some folks will kneejerk on you because they don't understand, or need to disapprove of anything they themselves do not already do. Some folks will be open to new things, and happy to find out more about them.

The oddest looks I get are from other drivers on the road, usually at a stoplight. They peer at me, with that "how can she be doing something that is legal if I don't know what it is?" look on their faces.

That being said, I follow the same basic rules of etiquette I always did as a smoker; I don't just whip it out and start puffing in a crowd, give those not doing what I am some space to do their own thing without being in their face.

Hoping as vaping takes off, that we will find the same kind of bond in passing, as the "smoking circle" of instant ciggie friends. Met some pretty cool folks in my 33 years behind the ciggy ...., with only our smoking in common. Airports, bars, outdoor events. Looking forward to meeting new folks who I don't immediately case as potential lighter thieves in those situations =)

Very strong comparison lol. I was very skeptical about the ecigs after previously trying to quit using a cigalike and failing miserably. ecig's have come such a long way and are far better than they where a couple of years back. Image how cool they will be 2 more years from now. ecigs will eventually beat the cigs in time.
Same with me I failed miserably about 5 years ago with a cig-alike glad I gave it a second shot now and bought good equipment plus my brother hooked me up with some decent stuff to start and advised me on what would be good start up equipment to buy.

Lol... I get asked all the time about mine... In two months, the smoking group at my job has slowly been converting... I was #3

While many haven't stopped analog all together, everyone has commented about smoking less and less as time goes on... It's become a Social thing as much as anything.. Few heavy smokers have been hacking a bit, ie their lungs slowly clearing up... As more talk about smoking less, and breathing being better, while slow, is getting others to try it out.

Most are IT folks, so the gadget aspect also appeals
