:vapor:I pretty much vape wherever i used to smokeand am used to the curiosity.even with the "lookalike" e cigs that I used to use, others would ask me questions about it.now that i use something that resembles a mascara tube, more people seem interested.people are just curious.i guess depending on where you are, they will be shy or outgoing about it. i don't mind sharing my experience with others about a product that finally helped me kick a 2pad 20yr habit.
The great state of NH bans smoking in restaurants, bars, etc, so I'm used to taking it outside, where I almost always encounter individuals who are interested in my device(s).haven't had a negative experience yet. Who knows, you may even plant the seed in someone's mind to try it.

Howdy folks,
Embarrassed...me...not on your life. I have 2x650 twists and a lavatube. I don't do the lavatube in public, but that's only cause I don't have an easy way (pouch or lanyard) to carry it yet (tweaked a nova mini on a twist in my levi pocket...unusable). Now the twists....I took a mini flashlight belt holster, had my wife close the bottom end, used some weaved para cord and hang the thing around my neck. That dark red twist has garnered some attention, but as far as I know, it has all been positive attention. People have looked, stared and a few have asked questions, but I'm too old to be embarrassed about doing something that is a hell of a lot better for me than what it replaced. I hope people stare, maybe they are as uninhibited as me and will ask questions. I love it when someone asks questions.

My best to all of you,
Big Mac

I work in an office building shared between two companies. I only vape in the designated smoking area (which I am not fond of because I now cannot stand the smell of smoke, and dont want to stink like it). The first couple weeks I got looks, but no one said anything to me. This past week, it seems the ice has been broken. Now when I go out, these building mates have seen that I have not gone back to cigarettes and they are all asking me questions about vaping. I actually need to make cards, as they are wanting to know where to go to get one, etc. I have sent them here to start and will hopefully see some sign up soon. Yesterday I had a captive audience of about 7 people, most of whom were wanting to ask about it but did not feel comfortable before, I guess. I took e-mail addresses of those who wanted more information and will be sending that out later today. I think it would be pretty cool to go out there in a few weeks and see hoards of ex-smokers vaping :) I just wish I had the capital to start selling set-ups, because so far, the reception has been great.

Initially I was quite hesitant to vaping at work. Then I was having a crafty vape in the yard and my guv came out for an smoke. After initially ripping me for smoking what he thought was something else, I explained it to him and now he's ordering one as well. The other perk is he has given me freedom to vape in the station and job cars, especially handy on winter nights!!

Here’s something that happened to me about a week ago…

I was standing outside a building where people Smoke hitting off an eGo Twist / CE2. There were also two or three other people that I Didn’t know there also smoking Analogs.

A guy came out of the building and pulled out a Provari with a 5 or 6ml Tank full of Red e-Liquid and started to vape. He was Immediately descended upon by the smokers with all kinds of Questions. “What’s That?”, “How does it Work?”, “How much does it Cost?”. You know the drill.

Soon there was a Small Crowd around him of Smokers and Non-Smokers around him. I just Causally kept hitting on my eGo Twist not trying to hide it but also not trying to make a big deal out of it. No one gave me more than a passing Glance.

Soon site security arrived to investigate what was going on. They started to question the Provari owner about what Exactly was in the e-Liquid, If he had ever Used it Inside any Building and if he planned to use it inside any Building in the Future.

At this point the Provari owner started to get Bent and started say in a somewhat loud voice “I can Vape anywhere I want” and “Vaping isn’t against the Law.”. The last thing I saw as I took my last hit off my eGo Twist was one of the Security Personal keying down on his Hand Set. I was done vaping and put my eGo back in my shirt pocket and walked back into the building.

---

So am I Embarrassed to vape in Public? No. But I don’t like drawing Unwanted Attention to myself either when I do. I prefer using something a little Smaller than a Provari and a Tank holding a Day’s worth of e-Liquid.

I don't think I would have been able to walk back into the building until I saw the final outcome. I don't like to miss fireworks.

I was tempted.

But things were turning Ugly and I like to Fly Under the Radar whenever possible.

What I thought was funny is that all the time this was going on, I was just standing at the edge of the crowd Calmly vaping. No one was paying any Attention to me. All eyes were on that Provari and the Red e-Liquid Sloshing around in the Tank.

LOL

I'm not easily embarrassed when it comes to using it, but I DO always get asked (mostly on my college campus) it is a (MODERATED), the ......... PV. Smh. haha

Just curious.

Does your Campus allow e-Cigarette on site? Or is it restricted to "Smoking" areas?

I use a cig-alike when I'm out and about, both for convenience--slips nicely into my pocket--and because I'm uncomfortable being conspicuous in public. For the same reason, I guess, that I don't have a mohawk or any piercings. I figure: I'm weird enough on the inside, no sense drawing attention to the outside. And, using a cig-alike, I can't say that I've ever had anyone give me so much as a second glance... brutally attractive women, especially, but I know that just means they're trying to hide their desire. I'm used to it.

I'm proud of vaping. It's better than smoking tobacco and a good conversation started. I was at a party last night and a girl came up to me asking, "What is that space-flute thing you're smoking?" Wouldn't have noticed me otherwise and I'll be seeing her next week so she can try different gear/juices.

The plethora of jokes that just came to mind is overwhelming

Sorry, my sense of humor is still equal to that of a 16 year old sometimes.
