Funny Things Happen When Vaping In Public!

Everyone, post some funny things that have happened to you while you were vaping.

The other day, I was at the mall. I don't really care what people think, they stopped everyone from smoking, not vaping, so I vape in public. Anyway, I had my 6v Saber Touch with me, and I was just sitting on a bench vaping with an 801, which really produces...

About 10 feet from me, a liitle girl, about 9 or 10 says to her mom, "Mommy, I think that man is on fire!" I just started laughing so hard. Then I heard the mom say, "No sweetie, I think he has a breathing problem!" I just about rolled on the floor laughing.

Someone next to me grew an extra head and then threw baseballs at me....no wait...that must have been the shrooms....

j/k... Best one I've got is when I got caught in a mall by a guard and "put out" my "cigarette" on my tongue. She flipped out before I showed her what it was... then gave me the ok to keep vaping.

Yeah, you would think after a year of vaping I would feel the same way..but Im very shy and reserved..

and thanks about the avatar..I got it off of photobucket..but since everyone likes it so much Im thinking I will add my own to be more realistic..

OMG... you must have read my mind! The other day, I went into a smoke shop to by some pipe screens for atty mods, and I was thinking the same thing. Only I wouldn't be walking into a very heavily smoked filled room choking my head off. And I bet there would be great, funny stories!

I always thought that, with the great differences in the same flavors from different vendors, that vapers will some day become brand/flavor connoisseurs along the same line of cigar and wine aficionados! Many of us already are!

Normally when I'm out I will hold the e-cig with my little finger on the end at the LED just to see the reactions. Since I have the batteries with the orange LED it looks just like I have my finger in the fire. Gets lots of funny looks.

If any of you vape when driving... at a stop light, purposely look at the people in the cars next to you and create some huge clouds... their reactions are hilarious! Especially if you use a mod that doesn't look like a cigarette at all. Those people have NO clue what you are doing!

I just remembered a good one.

So I was chilling at a mcdonalds with some girls after an anime club. (animevegas, club not convention) Went outside to vape a little because I didn't want to deal with the employees. (they are jerks at that one) One of the guys I met outside who was smoking was like, is that a vaporizer and so naturally I was like.."yah! you know about em?" He asked me what I had in and I said its orange flavored, so he wanted a hit. A few minutes into the conversation, passing my juicebox back and forth, hes like...Man when I left the house this morning I didn't think I'd be able to smoke some green..

Naturally it was at this point when I let him know that he wasn't getting high...It was nicotine. The look on his face was pretty much priceless.

I was waiting on the subway platform for the train to take me home, reached into my pocket and whipped out my 510 and started choofing away. Lo and behold Mr. popo walks up to me and tells me he gonna issue me a ticket for smoking on the subway platform and to extinguish my cigarette. Me being the jerky ..... that I am proceed to stick out my tongue and place the led tip upon it, then started laughing in his face mind you. After my bout of the giggles I then proceed to educate said civic protector, at that point he informed me that he smokes (Newports) and me just happening to have a bottle of menthol flavored juice, I offered him a puff or five. Bickety-Bam convert on the spot! Jotted the website cignot dot com for him. Saw him on Saturday afternoon 05/01/2010 vaping away in his little police box at the end of the station, he spotted me, then bolted over and started vaping happily in front of me and told me he was on his day 7 and almost at his break-even day.

Love this...I'm new to this and still figuring out how many vapers are out there in my community....but what a GREAT club idea. I don't wanna hijack this thread so will have revisit this later....

I'm not too comfortable vaping in public....in my 5 days of vaping so far......not sure what to expect, but expecting the worst I guess. If I had seen someone vaping a week ago, I probably would have assumed they were smoking crack. My ignorance.

I do vape in my car, and generally I am careful not to be obvious...plus my tinted windows are a great disguise. I did catch a dude looking at me just after I took a hit yesterday, and he gave me a thumbs up, but I still have no idea what he meant!

Just occurred to me....are there any stickers, bumper stickers, etc. that show support of the vaping community?

This is just too funny. I often walk around the shops with my pv hanging out of my mouth like a pacifier. People have no idea what it is, and being a tornado, I think they just pass it off as a fat pen. I take a few drags here and there, then panic if I can't blow it down my shirt. Have been caught a few times and had dirty looks thrown at me. When I see a No Vaping sign at the entrance next to the No Smoking sign, perhaps I'll leave it in my handbag.
