vaping happily for a while now, and hae converted many, but for this example, I will use the "MOM" case.
My mom loves the concept, loves the health benefit, but HATES my 510.
"It is too heavy and it hits too hard". She smokes slim ultra lights!
I did find a solution for her. an m401 with a 2.8-3 ohm carto. Super light and "Just like her cigs". She loves it. Although in my opinion her battery life sucks ( I use my ego 900's with a self made tank at home except when gaming, when I use 510 AUTO's with a clearo or ce2), she is fine with it. a few extra batts for around the house, a car (12v to 5v) usb adapter and pcc for excursions. Now she has a chance to quit the cigs that never would have happened without it. She hated my manuals (although she liked the lighter "Hit" she could take) so only an auto would have worked.
For my "POPS" scenario:
He loved my 510's. Hated the manuals, but loved the auto's. After seeing my ego and tank said "Don't get me something that makes me look like im smoking a hookah or something." When he saw me dripping a flavor after dinner (my after dinner espresso) he said "That looks like a pain in the a**".
Just bought him 2 510 starter kits (from MV of course).
They have both said that once they are both "geared up" they are pushing to vape only! I love it!
NOT EVERYONE IS A DRIP JUNKIE! As with life, there are flavors, styles and variety of enthusiasm. I am not a drip fan. I like to puff my way, the same way I smoked. Do that on a drip and you likely get hot juice mouth. But for me, a 510 with a clearo (2.5 for my daily and 2.8 with the couple of flavors I enjoy) is just right. My PCC is my BFF and I use it at work and for outings. I love the familiar feel of the "Pack" in my pocket as I feel that forgot something all the time without it.
How many mods did you try and buy before you found the love of your vape? How many different carto's, atty's, tanks, drip tips did you try? Most of us have loved that journey, but not all of us want it or need it. Some just want to "smoke" healthier.
at bars and restaurants I use my 510's with BLUE led. People see the cig shape, but blue light and it makes it obvious that it is one of those new fangled electronic cigs. nearly never harassed about using it.
I loved to smoke. Truly loved the feel, the ritual, 5 min meditation sessions, the chat during smoke breaks....and now I truly love to vape, and it loves me. I get all of the good of smoking, but it loves me back.
I do agree that a cig clone is a somewhat dangerous option, but a simple change of the LED as others have stated is usually enough. Why do you think the expensive brands all say "it looks like a cig. It feels like a cig"? because that is what alot of people want, and the ritual is nearly as important as the nicotine for alot of people. I know because I am one of them.
When I get a "craving" I just grab an atty and cart, because the draw is so much closer to a cig, and puff a cart away. Then back to normal for me XD
