Update:

The new phonebooks are here!! The new phonebooks are here!!

OK... Let me begin by saying

Mother F$#@$% Son of a $%#H, Worthless F*&%^$#G Company, That cant get their S&^% staight!

Ok I feel better now, the 3ml and 5ml and t-tops now fit the bottoms threading YAY! but.....

IMG_1130.jpg

The top assy is the one I just turned on my lathe so it sits flush, the assy on the bottom with the gap is how ALL the T-Tops are. None of them sit flush (which is one of the things I pointed out).

I have talked to Alex and he told me to box up any defective part and they will fix or refund the money. At least they are still taking ownership, and he told me to use their UPS code to send it back. Also the emachineshop contracts the jobs out, so they actually do not do the work.

So I will be going through all of the parts again looking for any that do not fit (thread wise) and re-boxeing the T-Tops up and sending them back with examples (AGAIN!)

This is beginning to get me ......, and it takes alot to make me .......
More to foillow!

I know I can't speak for the rest of the peeps in this, but I'm not in a huge rush.Don't get me wrong,I hate that it is causing Dan such a headache and lots of frustration.I would rather wait another month than have a premium rebuildable with a glaring gap
(even if the t-tank top don't get used)Hell,I been patient this long,a few more weeks ain't gonna hurt

Just take a deep breath there Dan. Everyone is in this with you. We all feel your pain. What did you do to the one that fits flush? Tap the threads deeper? Just curious what's causing the gap. I do agree with Aziffel though, a little longer wait isn't too bad when we're waiting for something so awesome.

I took 10 thousands off the thread channel, and tapped it .05" deeper. Problem is it took me 15 minutes to do. At that rate it would take me 87.5 hours to do them all.

I agree Karmachine! Especially about the extra bottom sections ;)! I'm sure you just want to be done with these guys, but man, I think I'd be throwing a fit. They should like, gold-plate some for you or something! I can't tell you how impressed I am with your patience and diligence in all this. I missed the other Scuba mods, but this is incredibly difficult. I don't know how you do it. Truly, you are a better man than I, lol. Good luck Dan. What a pain for such a small defect too. Just 10 thousands and .05"!? Attention to detail at it's worst right there . Either way, I can't thank you enough for doing all this.

Update:
Ok so I have gone through ALL 350 T-Tops (with the help of my lovely wife) and the bag on the left is all the T-Tops that threads do not fit and I am sure will have a .05" gap, the bag on the right are all the T-Tops that threads are perfect but have a .05" gap and do not sit flush.

Next is the 3ml tops and the 5ml tops and the drip tops to check.

It's all good Dan. Not your fault. Make 'em fix it.

You're entitled to a partial refund, which you should keep for your time, effort, and obvious frustration, IMO.

Well the refund they are talking about would put the co-op short as it would be a refund on the parts not corrected, so I would rather have them fix em!
I just got through all the 3ml tops and there are only 33 that the threads do not fit out of 400. So the 5ml and drip tops are next.

They should fix the out of spec parts and issue a partial refund, in my opinion. I know you can't make 'em and will leave the wheeling and dealing to you.

They've really dropped the ball on this one and should be willing to take a loss in the interest of maintaining positive customer relations. Again, that's just my opinion.

I'm not getting bent out of shape about waiting however long it takes. :)

dan, maybe you could get on the phone with alex and have him cut you a check and take it to a local machine shop to have fixed, if emachine just keep sending screwed up parts back to the same dill holes that screwed up in the first place how is that a solution ? maybe you have a shop locally that may not have been able to take on the whole job but could fix these things relatively easy . Emachine could refund you part of the money to cover the cost of the fix
