Finally, paypal sat on my money for 3 days, never ever ever transfer from an account if you are in any kind of hurry. Money sent :)

You can do instant transfers from your account if you confirm and verify your address with PP. It doesn't technically instantly transfer from your bank account, it just means PP will cover you while they wait for the money to transfer from your bank account.

Hi Dan,
From your drawing I see the DT uses a longer screw on the neg post and a spacer. Are these going to be provided?

Also I noticed that some people comment on the mesh size with quotes from raidy. I read that too. Based on experience and experiments, that I am sure many of you have done with the different types of SS mesh attys, is it really a difference between 325 and 400 (using 20% to 50% VG)?
Thank you

No they will not be included, that was an after add in and not figured into the basic cost.
I have never used 325, only 400 but I have run 50/50 PG/VG with no problems on 400

This would be great, because i did already a research for this parts and was not lucky until now.

Part numbers listed below, and an explanation

OK, I'm a bit confused here. I knew once the kit arrived that i would need SS mesh and the Kanthal wire. Do I need to order more parts as well? I saw the list quoted in your reply on the first post of the co-op thread, but thought it was part of the package we were ordering. Do i need to also get those with the McMasterCarr part numbers?

All parts listed will be sent with the "Kit"
Anyone that ordered a Drip top adapter and wants to run a horizantal coil will need to order (1) 1/2" SS screw (91772A059)and (1) 3/16" SS spacer (92321A007) from McMaster-Carr, this is only IF you want to run a horizantal coil, otherwise you do not need it.

I hope that clears up this issue.
Dan

Afternoon Update:
See farther in the thread

I have already ordered the first 4 parts from e-machineshop.com today. I have taken in enough to begin ordering the parts that will require additional processing once I recieve them. They are:

We have started processing your order.
Your order has been successfully received by eMachineShop.

Job #: 179696
Type: Standard order
File: G-tank-US Bottom.ems

Job #: 179698

Type: Standard order

Job #: 179700
Type: Standard order

These are the job numbers direct from emachineshop.com, they are estimating 42 working days for completion. Once I get them the bottom piece will have to have the 0-80 threaded insert pressed into it, which I have already tested my jig and it takes me approx 10 seconds a piece to do. so I should be able to roll through all 350 in about an hour.

Let the fun begin!
Dan

Added, you will note on the Bottom Mid part I had to change the design on the T-Tank tube, the EMS software did not allow for a syringe designed tube with out secondary processing (More Money) so I opted for a beveled tube design that the T-Tank would fit over. So you will have to punch the hole in the T-Tank cap before use on the G-Tank-US.

I apologize if I missed this, but can you drip the vertical coil?

Yes I have done it this way with no change to the coil and wick setup, the wick actually extends into the bottom of the drip tip. So when I drip into the drip tip it loads the wick up. I can not load as much as say a silica horizantal wick, but it does work this way.

Dan,
I have searched the threads and can't find the details I am looking for. I have seen some of the same questions I am asking but can't find responses to them so here goes....
1. When we receive the unit will we need additional parts to complete assembly?
I have seen that SS Mesh and Kranthal wire is not included. Are these required for operation of the unit?
If they are required can you provide the specs? Any recommended Vendors? Any build instructions?
2. I saw mention of a "standoff" spacer and screw needed for dripping - again, specs / recommended Vendors?
3. Is there an existing tutorial or will one be forthcoming detailing the assembly? Any links would be appreciated.
4. Is the price now finalized? I don't see any "Payment Due by" date and I don't want to be a straggler :)
Thanks for taking on this project - I look forward to giving this unit a try - anything to get off of carto's that keep flooding from my tanks!!

All these questions have been answered in multiple locations, but I will answer them all so everyone in question has an answer

1. When we receive the unit will we need additional parts to complete assembly?

No unless you ordered a drip top and want to run a horizantal coil

I have seen that SS Mesh and Kranthal wire is not included. Are these required for operation of the unit?

Yes they are required

If they are required can you provide the specs? Any recommended Vendors?
SS 400 Mesh: The Mesh Company: Online Shop for Woven, Knitted and Perforated Mesh for Art, Craft, Floristry, Modelling and Engineering ; 32 AWG Kanthal: Resistance heating wire, Kanthal A-1 32 awg 40ft | eBay

Any build instructions?
None yet besides this, Wick dimensions:

During the part manufacturing waiting period I will create the tutorial

4. Is the price now finalized? I don't see any "Payment Due by" date and I don't want to be a straggler :)
Yes, we did not make 500 units so the base price is 62.51 not including the DT

Thanks for taking on this project - I look forward to giving this unit a try - anything to get off of carto's that keep flooding from my tanks!!
It is amaizing.

Additional info from MIKEE3, thanks Mike:

If you read the right threads and more trial and error, you can get your cartos to stop flooding. Off the top of my head, punches that are too large and/or too deep is common. Also even a little juice down the center tube will make the punched carto continue to drip. I think payment is due by Monday.

fender although I don't have one yet.:2c: I've noticed in my homemade version there is no difference. I make the wick just long enough to fit into the tank a little bit and it must have an opening in the middle like a straw.

There is some reason behind strums method, though I am not sure with the wick being gravity fed that it matters that much in practice.

The way mesh wicks work is if there is more mesh there it takes more to burn the hit since there is more juice at the coil. Where there is less mesh it wicks faster so the thinking is that if you have less mesh I. The tank it can feed the thicker mesh at the coil faster and produce clean hits for more drags in a row. This is it's helpful for the chain vapes that do pull after pull or do really long extended drags. :)
