Will get u next thurs man, sorry to hear about that.
So, I ordered some SS mesh from mcmaster-car. The price was like $20 and change. For some reason they don't tell you how much shipping will be. So I loaded $30 on my visa money card thinking that should cover it. Got a call from them today saying my card declined. Cause they tried charging like $50. I asked why they were charging that much and they said it was $30 for shipping. I told then that I didn't want it if shipping was gonna be that much, but they had already shipped it. So now I got to load another $20 on my card.
One, who ships before receiving payment? Two, is that normal shipping price for them? Three, I nknew I should of got my mesh from themeshcompany; but didn't want to wait for shipping. Now it cost me $30
The high shipping cost has to be because you are in Alaska.
Shipping charges from McMaster-Carr are normally <$5.00.
That's what I was thinking. Wonder if the mesh co. charges more to ship to Alaska?

Well now, hang on. I didn't donate for assembly because I'm fine with putting things together, and being a visual sort of person it would help me get a good grasp on what everything is and does and goes. I'd rather do it from complete disassembly so I know what few bits come pre-assembled and I shouldn't monkey with myself.![]()
That's OK Dspin I knew what you ment, Just made me smile with my handle being D.That statement was meant for the people who requested assembly. If a person requested assembly, then a donation would have been in order. Not meant for those that will put them together themselves.
RatOk just tallied up the donations from yesterday, I am now in the black by $12.50. I am humbled by everyone’s generosity, since I said I was not looking for money, just giving updates on what was going on. This is an awesome community full of good people and I feel very privileged to be part of this co-op.
Thank you to all that donated!
Dan
For all you've done for us already and all you've still to do, I think it's the least everybody could do to make sure you weren't out anything more than your own time and sweat. Plus, that $12.50 there should be enough for a few beers -- a necessary ingredient in the success of this co-op, should rules about profit poke their head in.
Actually that 12.50 will go towards bubble wrap
Got enough beer in the fridge LOL
