SO Dan... we have a pre-list. Is there going to be a pre-anouncement for the classified? Some of us may be away from an internet connection for one reason or another. I know I would really be disappointed if I were distracted with other matters during the coop and missed out on this opportunity. Perhaps this has been covered and I missed it... If so my apologies.
A classified add will be posted for a period of time in the Classified and Swap section for the official purchases. I think that is the window for actual purchase. If it closes before someone had the chance for purchase and the 200 units are reached does that preclude that person from being able to purchase a unit?
From the way I understand it, 200 units is the minimum amount required to have this project move forward. It's been mentioned that the price per unit could actually be lower if there is greater interest in this project and more than 200 units are spoken for. I'm sure Dan will post here when the actual co-op begins.
I understand that the order will not be placed by Dan until the end of the classified add. But what about a person who was not aware of the add being placed for some reason. My original question was, could there be an advanced anouncement a few days or even a week in advance that? "On this future date the Classified add will be placed..." Just to ensure that most if not all people get their chance at getting one of these GREAT kits?
Ok, the prelist will carry over, the 200 was the minimum we needed to hit the cost point for the 61.25. Now since we have already hit that mark, the names will transfer over to the co-op in the classys and if we hit 500 so be it, that means the cost point will go down by about 10.00. So everyone that is on this list here will be on the list in the co-op to start out with. everyone else that comes along will just make it cheaper the more that is ordered. When the co-op begins I will post links to it here and in the scubagen thread. It will run for 1 week, just like the pre list so everyone has a 2 weeks time period in order to jump in. I have already requested permission for a co-op and am waiting on the response. Heck even Uwe has asked if he can help in any way! We got support all around us and life is good, so everyone put your cruize control on, keep your feet and arms inside and enjoy the ride.
