I am so frustrated reading your posts that I can only imagine how frustrated you must be! Just do it! Get the 1300mAh or whatever you want. Size matters but not as much as you think. The Kanger batteries are pretty sleek. I have two smaller batteries (650 mAh) and one that is about 1100 mAh. The larger battery is a Kanger evod battery. I like it but is is not the variable voltage that has been recommended. It is purple. My evod and MT3S clearomizers are purple. (among other colors). They are cool.

You can't start saving money until you start vaping. Once you start saving money, you can buy other types of equipment. Start with something you THINK will work and quit being so picky. After all, you aren't picky about the hundreds of chemicals you shove into your body every time you light a cigarette, right? If you think it is ugly when you get it, post it on the classifieds here and sell it! Use it only in the privacy of your own home and get something so very pretty for out and about.

Liquids? GET A SAMPLE of many. ECBlends offers small bottles so you can try a few different flavors. Get the ones you think you will like as well as some basic tobacco flavors. RY-4 is tobacco with some other flavors like caramel and vanilla. Very nice, IMHO. Get more than one nicotine strength to try them. Try them then come back and ask about any issues you might have with them.

Ohms? Not a problem if you are getting a Twist or Spinner since you can change the volts to adjust for the ohms. Read about ohms here on the forum when you have your gear IN HAND. It will make more sense when you can actually do the adjustments, vape and see what is meant by the suggestions you read.

I think, for ease and simplicity, an evod battery and evod clearomizer with charger and liquids is the best place to start for you. No variable voltage, you can get that later when you save enough money by not smoking. BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION, and you know what opinions are worth! You have your head in a whirl and this is supposed to be FUN! You can't go wrong with a Kanger (evods are Kanger) starter kit. You CAN decide you want something bigger and better, but heck, that is gonna happen ANYWAY!~~and it is always smart to have back up equipment in case something quits working on you when you really NEED a vape.:vapor:

Best of luck. Wish you were closer. I would let you try my stuff and see what you wanted to order!

Right, as others have said, don't worry about quitting. That will just happen as you find the joy of vaping.:2c::)

Hi Maniacal. I sympathize with the idea of cost - I have gone thru bankruptcy last year, and am trying to get a mortgage loan mod, so money is tight for me/us. But once you have the basic kit to start vaping, it will get better, and you'll have more money to try other things. Just be aware that the initial outlay is merely a carton of cigs, and you'll get to use this for months.

Go for the 1300mah spinner. It is slightly fatter and a bit shorter than the 1000mah twist. I have three of them and they last all day. I use a vivi nova tank with them. Of course I have the purple it is my fave and blue and pink...... You will be glad you did this so don't wait any longer. Gee I sound like a commercial but vaping is one of the best things I've ever done.

Thank u, husband, for offering to load up a credit card & put the order thru for our new spinner/twist starter kit while im gone. :) hope to god it goes out TODAY or I rushed into this for nothing.

I guess there really isnt anything better than being able to get 2 different batteries/clearomizers for a number of combinations. Plus my hubby will have one. cant beat that.

I figured if either was too big getting a smaller battery is waaay cheaper than getting a whole kit.

Very very unfortunate tht I couldnt piece these things together myself, it wouldve allowed way more experimentation since id have way more money. Heck, I just opted to pay $30 more for the ability to mix n match, essentially. Beast vapes had kits for $44 but colors or different parts were not an option.

Now for the wait. The wait period is why I went w/an american seller, dont have a month tp wait for china.

Looking back, I feel really ridiculous for stressing so hard over all this. Wanna know the worst part? That kit was the very first kit I ” settled on” Waay back during the dinosaur era when I started. /head desk
Imagine putting up w/me daily my hubby deserves an award.

Thing is it really doesn't matter all that much which kit you get, it's the e-liquid you get that will make or brake the deal.
Right now you have taste buds that have been dulled by years of smoking, and that needs to be taken into account when getting that first bottle of juice. Probably the two most successful flavors are RY4 (caramel tobacco) and 555 (hazelnut tobacco). You also need to get enough nicotine to satisfy the cravings, so I would suggest 24mg (2.4%). A 50/50 mix of PG/VG is also the most flexible because if the flavor is to strong, or the nicotine content to high, you can add a small amount of distilled water to it.

Maniacal: There are tons of things you can get. Sounds to me like your worried about spending money and not getting something you want or works like you want it to, Vaping does cost money ( but not as much as analogs ). You will be buying more and more as time goes on.

I think the best advice would be to go to you tube so you can see people holding and telling you about each item, Go to a web site like My vapor, Aqua vapor, Discount vapor even on ECF there is a list of suppliers, When you find something you like or want to know more about just type whatever it is in you tube that way you will be able to see it. Its hard to get a picture of things through words.

Just an FYI Aqua Vapor has a 100ml and 200ml sample pack that comes in 10ml bottles so you get a lot of different flavors to try, price is decent.

All the information everyone gave you is good but without visual's it can still be pretty confusing. ie. Clearo's, Carto's, Tanks, Ohms, Mah and so on.

I was reading all the posts and even my ears started to bleed ( My head was going to explode ) LOL.

Just make sure whatever you buy get extras If you buy T3's or evods get some replacement parts for them, If they go bad and they will or start to leak you might give up and go back to smoking if you don't have parts. It feels like it takes forever for vapemail to come.

Welcome to the Vaping community, Just remember if you get frustrated or are going to give up just get on here and we will help you from going back to the dark side!!

Okay, lets simplify this. Odds are you will not like whatever you get first for long (maybe a few months at best) so, get what appeals to you be that a el cheapo gas station cigalike, ego twist, pain ego cartomizer, clearomizer, whatever. It really doesn't matter as long as it appeals to you long enouhg the get you vaping for a month or so and off analogs. Use it to get off analongs, find the trypes of flavors you enjoy most and find the nicotine level you need to stay off analogs.

Later, with some experience, you can move on to mods, a better no VV, or whatever you like.

Glad to see that its ordered. You really can't go wrong with the spinner. I started on a simple 650 ego... and it didn't take long for me to move up to a VV ... the 1300 spinner. I think EVERYONE should start out with a VV ego... regardless of what they screw on top of the thing. You will be surprised at how much voltage affects flavor, vapor and thoat hit.

Suggestion.. when you do get everything in and charged up... I hope that you have the resistance rating.... that'll make it easy to find a starting point to set your spinner or twist. The general rule of thumb for starting out is to set your battery to your resistance + 2... so if you get an Evod, and it has a coil rated at 2.2 ohms... set your battery at 4.2V but try to avoid over 4.4V.

Here is a good beginner chart. https://store-549f5.mybigcommerce.com/product_images/uploaded_images/voltagechart-lg.jpg

I usually stay in the higher part of the green range. If you get up into the red, you could start scorching your juice and trust me, not only will it taste HORRIBLE, you could mess up your coil.

    And I'll second a juice that's 50/50 PG/VG and nic between 18 and 24.

Oh, and rather than order one big bottle of something, order small bottles of several different juices. Try tobaccos, fruits, candies (like butterscotch)... just be careful on the flavors that come with warnings like "may damage plastic tanks"... they aren't lying.. a citrus-y juice can destroy a plastic tank in minutes... you'll need a glass tank (like a Protank) if you want to try those.

But stay patient.... :) You'll get there.
