I don't know if regulated is the right word, but I was pretty sure it was.
What I mean is that the voltage will stay where you put it without dropping off over time.

I was under the impression that the Lavatube is not "regulated" in that way.
And I am certain that the Ego Twist is not "regulated" in that way.

Should I have used another word?

I suspect you're confusing other limitations with regulation. However, as attypops said we're getting off topic. Might be better to start another tread to discuss.

huh. lol. I f-ing give up. :)

Interesting chart.

lol. Well, to be fair...it's only a .3 voltage drop across the range. However, humph! Maybe a feature of the booster and battery combo.

At one point they say "Accurate adjustment of output voltage", and "Smart Buck-Boost converter". Then they show that chart. IDK. Maybe it's smarter than I am. ;)

I'm not sure I want to say "Yes" to your last question...but yes.

EDIT: And the 4.8 setting is max. So, I wonder if you set it at 3.7 and graphed it, it might be fairly horizontal for a while.

OK... Just finished my 1st order. I Got:

1x - ProVari Mini V2 (in satin with red display)
3x - AW 18350 Batteries
1x - Charger (linked above in previous post... hope it works!)
1x - DCT Cartomizer tank (small 3.5ml)
2x - Replacement Cartomizers for DCT tank (pre punched)
1x - 5 Pack of 3.0ohm 510 Cartomizers (didn't list the brand but looked like Boge's end cap)
.... All from ProVape.com

Now I'm off to look at:

- Lil Mama tanks from Big Daddy Vapor
- j-tanks
- smoktech tanks
- pyrex tanks from Phiniac.com
- 3ohm cartos that are officially branded as Boge.
- XL 3ohm Boge cartos
- WTA liquid from Aroma
- Various non-tobacco flavors of regular liquid.

Anything I'm missing? Lol. I'm sure I won't buy all of the above, but I'm going to at least look. :)

Thanks again to EVERYONE that chimed in! ALL had good suggestions, and if I didn't go with your recommendation, don't take it personally. I'm sure the eGo Twist and all the other VV options are all good products, but... I can only pick one at the moment and the ProVari just appeals to me.

Again, Thank you all. I'll be a regular on the forums again, and if I'm lucky and stick to it, maybe I can say good bye to analogs for good this time!

That's an excellent first order and will be great tools to use to finally quit smoking. If you are concerned about the charger, just use the contact us link on the ProVape site, include your order number and ask if the charger will work. If for some odd reason it doesn't, I'm sure they'll help you out.

I can't wait to see updates from you! Good luck and happy vaping!

Check out the Vivi Nova....all the advantages of a tank without the hassle of the carto. I'm getting great taste and great vapor, and only have to unscrew the lid and fill.

+1 on the Vivi Nova, just be sure it's a V2, read some bad comments on the V1, and own a V2.
For once the manufacturer may have listened and fixed it right the second time....

Ok... pretty overwhelmed now. Lol. I looked over all the stuff on my list, and I'm not sure what I want to get at the moment. The tank choices are especially confusing. I just spend most of today learning what I could about ohms, volts, and a variety of VV PVs. I think my brain is done, so I'm going to give up for tonight. :)

But, I will be checking back here (as well just reading the forums), so feel free to post any tank, carto, juice, etc suggestions to go with my Provari Mini. (or link me to some good tank threads... I'm going search for some myself too).

Again, thanks to everyone!

I agree with the get a higher powered device. I would also suggest tobacco extracts from perfumers apprentice. I'm not with them in any way by the way. But that tobacco extract for me smelled just like an ash tray. The taste was the closest I've found. I decided to try to get away from the tobacco taste all together. I'll do a pay it forward thing on a couple of tobacco type flavors that I have if you pm me your address. I'll send them to you free as long as you're in the states some where. It's just a flavoring No nic in it. Ya just add it to any juice you like.

Speaking as someone who recommended the Twist (unless that was a different thread) I can say do not fret about that...
If I recommended a Twist it was only because it was a cheaper way to get into variable voltage.

But if you have no problems paying for a Provari, then that would have been my suggestion from the start.
You really can't beat a Provari with anything on the market today, in my opinion.

Although the Darwin lovers might object.

Just an update... Got my new ProVari Mini (+ other gear), and I'm having good success with a moderate adjustment period. I think this is going to be the weekend I kick the cigs for good. Feels awesome to say that. VV seems to do the trick, as well as a little WTA when a craving gets strong...

I plan to make new thread if I can make it through tomorrow without any cigs, because I do have other questions.

Thanks again to everyone!
