I hate Canada Post...

as some of you are aware, my charger and batteries for my eGo and 510 were lost/stolen tuesday this week... i went to Kat and the Krew at ElectroVapors and they agreed to send me a new PV, the Leo, Expedited next AM.

that was Wednesday... and the package was delivered to CP wednesday well before 6pm... now we're sitting at Friday night and my package is still at the distribution centre in Calgary...

Grrrr.....

Sorry, Jay. :-(

I recently got the royal runaround for a JuicyClear shipment. The tracking info said "address confirmation needed" or something, and it ping ponged around in BC. When I contacted JC after almost 2 weeks to inquire about the address they had on file, they sent out another order this past Wednesday (the address was correct)! How's that for service??

Wouldn't you know, I got the original shipment Thursday after the online tracking had still said for ages that it was in Richmond. I am just so impressed that they re-sent the order that I sent them a little something for compensation. They didn't ask for it, but I just thought that it was more than fair.

Ever try and read, not to mention absorb, the online shipping standards for each available service ?

It's a bunch of gibberish that essentially, in the end, means that.... you'll get your damn package when we bloody well feel like getting it to you...... regardless of which service level or fee paid you make.

It really is quite frustrating, and is why I order long in advance (when possible), and use the cheapest choice of services allowing tracking knowing very well that the info online will most likely be wrong, and that I'll most likely get it much later than I think I would.

At least during the days of the pony express they made a genuine effort........

sad thing is that i work for a crown corporation... in a sence.

i might not be deleted, but when my security clearance comes up for review in 2012, i might have to explain some stuff.

When you're security clearance comes up for review just smile... and say... "Canada Post sucks".....

Well, not my thread but I need to rant before I explode! Hope you don't mind Switched.

When it comes to Canada Post and their bunks they could open a summer camp :mad:

The Friday before last I had sealed a deal with Switched for a trade, my device for a couple of his and I practically skipped to the Post Office so I could ship off his like new PV. I was excited for this since it is my first time swapping and I really wanted it to be a very positive experience.

So I payed the bill to ship Xpresspost and filled out the proper information and walked home... Once I booted up my computer and popped on ECF to let Switched know that I had shipped it, I realized "Wait a second... I don't have a receipt OR a tracking number... wth?!". So I filled him in on the situation and put off on returning to the outlet. I figured it was being sent but that the cashier had simply made a mistake of some sort (since it became busy while I was waiting in line).

No tracking number isn't the end of the world right?

Well Switched still hasn't received his package and I have been in to the same postal office twice to 1) Get the tracking number for him and 2) Get my money back for this terrible service and BOTH times I was told "There is nothing we can do". I call shenanigans on that and will be in tomorrow to see the manager and get this sorted out....

.... I bet at Camp Canada Post your food is expensive, late and cold EVERY time... WHEN you do indeed get it that is.

Ya, sounds like bullcookies to me too.....

Within that time period and the outlet you used, how many shipments do YOU think went off to Halifax XpressPost ? LoL... and if THEIR system can't back search THAT easily, maybe its time to take some of our tax money and have something "proper" put in place instead of overpaid union workers or exec bonuses.... OR...... fire the lazy .... who can't seem to take the few minutes to do the search.

Read an article in the paper the other day about canada post.

Info commish blasts CBC, Canada Post in report | Canada | News | Winnipeg Sun

The Winnipeg sun bashes CBC basically on a daily basis, then in this article, they publish a graph that shows Canada Post is actually WORSE when it comes to requests to access information. I find it odd that this is the first time CP has ever been mentioned in this regard. It makes me wonder if winnipeg sun just has it out for CBC with their daily rants? Maybe this will open the door to some much needed daily canada post bashing, lol.

I here you my friend it is indeed frustrating, and no I do not mind you posting it here. The delta between the 2 outlets is that both packages where mailed at the same time (Fri am). We both shipped express post as the delta in price was insignificant to me. I was surprised he got his on the Monday. I thought Tuesday was more likely. I know the package will eventually get here, the downside is that someone paid good money for a service in which they did not receive, and by the look of things Noize is SOL. That is pure unadulterated BS.

Well I thank you for your patience Switched, It's been a VERY negative experience with this outlet and I am filing a complaint against them for their blatant disregard of customer service. The Manager was the WORST and it certainly explains how I could be charged for a service like this and not get what I paid for considering SHE was the one who took my money and didn't provide me with a receipt...

Perhaps the most enraging part after me having to walk back and forth to this place 4 times in the last 3 days was when I finally received the receipt and tracking number and she had the brass to say, "and this time don't lose it sir."

... I won't repeat what my response was. :evil:
