Battery charge issue?

Hi there, i fully charge my two batteries in an external charger [Trustfire] and when the batteries are back in my Geekvape, they show both batteries are only having 50% charge. I only got the external charger as it was recommended as a more efficient way of charging.

Anyone else have the same problem? Is there an easy fix? (i currently plug it into the USB charger.. but it's so slow).

Thanks

How old are the batteries? What brand and model are they? At what rate are you charging them i.e. .5Amp, 1Amp, 2Amp, etc... Which Trustfire charger are you using? Have you updated the firmware on the Legend?

Got my two back in May when they first became available. Used them for a week and their TC is horrible. They have been sitting on the shelf ever since. Been thinking about pulling the boards out and swapping them for DNA250C boards. :D

Sorry for the unpleasant experience.
Have you tried the firmware update, which may optimize the TC mode?

Thank you for your feedback. I will get the feedback to our technicians, hoping they will make an improvement.

Have you checked the battery on other mods?

You might want to pick up a volt-ohm meter and check your battery voltages right out of the charger. They should be 4.15 to 4.20 depending on the charger you have. 4.20 is the accepted charge cutoff for lithium cells. How old are the cells, what brand and model #, and how long have they been used?

Trustfire is commonly sold by vape shops, but it's not a high end charger. Efest, Xtar, Nitecore, and several others are popular. I have all of the above, but my favorite right now is a Zanflare C4 (Ebay) because it reports internal resistance and MAH during charge. It's an analytic charger.

I just received my Aegis Legend in rainbow a couple weeks ago, & it's my favorite mod I own so far aside from my Rage squonker.
I love how durable & beautiful it is, & the leather looks amazing. The rainbow stitching on it is a really cool touch.
It feels great in my hand; is the perfect size for someone like me with large hands.
The user interface is easy to use & has all the features I want.
Fantastic job, & I'm so glad I own one! :)

Not to be rude, but the Trustfire brand of charger is not recognized as a good charger like more common brands such as Xtar, Efest LUC, and Nitecore.

What specific batteries are you using? Brand, model, and specifications? Brands names and specifications make a huge difference in vaping performance and safety.

The preferred method of charging batteries is with an external charger. Reserve the micro USB port for firmware updates for your mod, ESPECIALLY since it is the Aegis Legend.

60 day update...
It just works.
Two months of daily use with no issues.
Been bumped around a bit, and the paint is starting to show some wear, from riding in my pocket, every day, but it's holding up well, so far
Great device.
As soon as I can afford it, I'll probably buy another one

I use my Legends everyday, they are in my top two favorite mods. One small complaint. If you get a leaky tank and don't catch the leak right away the juice seeps into the interface between the rubber skin and the top plate or the front screen and runs all the way to the bottom of the front screen and leaks out along the front face. The gap is big enough for juice to enter but not big enough to get in and clean.

I've stopped it from happening again by not taking my Freemax Mesh Pro tanks outside in the Tampa heat. Just going from the motorhome to my truck is sufficient to get the Mesh Pros to leak.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a serious concern here. I finally caved in and upgraded my newest Legend that I ordered directly from Geekvape 6 weeks ago. The main reason I did the upgrade was the battery life improvement. After the upgrade, I was impressed that for the entire rest of the day I had only used half of my batteries when before I would've had to change them. I took the batteries out with them still showing 50% on the Legend and put them in my Nitcore charger. I was very surprised to see that the charger indicated that the batteries had been fully discharged!! I put the batteries in another brand of mod and they also showed as fully drained. I DO NOT overstress my batteries, now my Legend is lying to me about the accuracy of my battery life. What is going on GeekVape?? I recommend this device to everyone, now I experience this?

Do you have a charger or mod that tells you what voltage your batteries are?

Discharged below 2V is dead, danger, do not try to use ever again.
Below 2.5V is danger, might be injured beyond recovery.
See Mooch's blog.
I have both plus I used a meter to test. The meter shows 3.2V, but the legend shows 50% charge.

The battery indicator on the Legend is linear, small and has limited detail. 50% will have a +/- margin. The actual cut off voltage with the new firmware in unknown. This needs to be determined first then compared to the battery indicator allowing for a small +/- margin of error given the limitation of the graphical interface before making such bold claims.
