@kushpancake In order to get good flavour out of SS, must one always use it in TC?

Nope, you can use it in power mode or TC, one of the benefits of SS.

No it's not my juice, getting top notch flavor with the kanthal parallel build.

I was using UD wire when I first started with SD & noticed an off taste with it every time I first started using it then it would go away after a day or so. It was because I was dry burning it first for every build. Couldn't clean the taste away with scrubbing it under the water in the sink so I stopped dry buying it. I also started building spaced coils instead of contact coils & flavor shot through the roof instantly.

I switched SS 316L to a supplier from Etsy & I can dry burn it with zero flavor "weirdness" now. It's a long shot but you never know. Also I find it takes a few ml's of e-liquid for my builds to really start working for me, kind of like the wire breaking in.

Yes I noticed even with my SS contact coil the flavor was slowly improving. I did a spaced coil now and it's much better.

It's a week now I own Griffin 25 Top airflow from efun.top

Geek vape's team did a good job with the tank's quality and with the top airflow trick.

Issues I had with other sub ohm atties, including difficulties to assemble/dissasemble, slicky air and liquid flow rings and too many leakage seem to become almost non-existable with G25 TAF

First of all, I enjoyed the package with includes many things, such as a spare frosty tank, a cute triple screwdriver (2 hexagons and an allen) 2 single coil adaptors, mouthpiece adaptor and many screws and orings. Even a 510 mouthpiece adaptor.

Easy wiring too, due to its big velocity deck. I don’t use Clapton, but G25 screams that it’s a Clapton atty.

I tested my G25 with both SS316L UD and Kanthal 0.4 dual coils.

Using my balrog 70 mod, I soon discovered that G25 can work perfect with SS TC mode.

I heard a lot that G25 is a “tasty” atty and was a bit disappointed when I triggered my mod with 35W. Yes, I threw very far away thick clouds of vapor with an enormous throat hit, but it was a hot non very tasty vapor comparing with my MTL high end tanks, especially the Greek ones – Eviva, Calix2, Phenomenon.

Vaping with these setups at 25W with fewer mgs was ok, but still not very satisfactory.

Than I switched at TC mode (with the SS coil) and finally there was taste. Smooth, velvet, warm but not hot vapor, still thick clouds, but more regulated vaping with a normal throat hit and very tasty. I still cannot compare G25 with a high end MTL tank, but it’s now close enough to enjoy…with almost no leakage as a side gift.

Sure enough, with a Clapton coil, things would be better, with thick clouds and a better taste.

Enjoy the photos and the video!!!

Does anybody else have a wobbly juice-control ring? Mine seems loose, and slightly off center, resulting in juice pissing out everywhere and completely ruining not one, but two mods.
Obviously there is nothing here keeping it from leaking, other then fine milling with precission press-fit. Which mine obviously does not have.

I had the same problem with my first black one. I contacted geekvape and they replaced the deck for free, but now the new one is getting too loose as well. As much as I love this tank, I'm waiting to see how the Wismec Theorem's I have coming will compare.

Try emailing Roy@geekvape.com directly (Roy Ren, General Manager GeekVape USA) and state your issues. He should then forward it to service@geekvape.com and they should have a new one out to you fairly quickly now that their USA service department is running smoothly.

I have been waiting for the new 25mm Griffins to show up at a US vendor and hadn't noticed any until today. Eciggity, VapeNW, and MyVaporStore all show them in stock now.

MyVaporStore had the best price by far for the top air flow version at $29.95, with no upcharge for black.

Placed my order with them today.

I just stumbled across this GeekVape e-Cigs
It looks like they have all sorts of spare and extras for GeekVape products including the Griffin. Looks like they have just about all the parts, wick ring, positive pole, etc., even a bag of the newer nice hardened grub screws. Nice thing to remember, just in case I end up losing or busting up a piece.

I just got the master coil v2 and used the cotton and the wire that came with. I used a fruit liquid with 0 nicotine to check the flavor and was ok. Took a 15 minutes brake from vaping and now i feel a strange taste. Oily, engine oil, sweet but disgusting. Not dry hit at all, but can't use is anymore and I am wondering if is the cotton or the wire that came with the master coil.
Maybe somebody here tried this combination with the griffin already. Thanks

I haven't had any issues with my Griff 22, thus far, and I my Griff 25 came in just yesterday. I don't know what o-ring issues others are experiencing and I hope mine won't be problematic.

Both my Griff 25 and Boreas got delivered together. They're both black and looks damn sexy. I can't wait to try them out. I'm getting a black Aroma Supreme, which I'm also excited about, but it's coming via SlowTech.

P.S. The Griff 25's threading, especially on the top cap, is sharp and IMO janky. I didn't realise at the time but I cut my fingers last night.
