I hate that this tank didn't turn out to be what it appeared to be. I too had high hopes for it. I ended up grabbing the Mutank and bought the v deck rba section. Really hoping that turns out to be a winner, my vape budget is being scrutinized by the significant other at this point lol.
You should all know that IMO they are machining these tanks at different locations, making the consistency different depending on where/when you bought one. The first Griffin I bought was flawless and I could wick it just like the way everyone is showing in youtube reviews by basically letting the cotton "just rest in the channels like a cup" and I was satisfied. 3mm id claptons with no need to really trim wick. Whatever cotton was left i could basically tuck it on the side or wherever i could find room and it wouldn't hinder the wicking in any way. So fast forward to a month later and i bought 2 more-a black and a stainless one and both had to be sent back. There was a malfunction in the creation of a vacuum seal somewhere bit because I couldn't take the deck apart to see inside, I couldn't really tell. Luckily the company sent me two replacements(after I showed proof of multiple wick jobs w/ejuice pouring out the afc as the end result... I even put an amusing amount of cotton once to prove it wasnt my poor wick skills) and to my delight I was able to put some builds in there that worked, however not as well as my first Griffin bought locally here in N.H.so im convinced now that at some point they used different machines, different materials or different specs(maybe a tiny difference) that was just enough to cause the rest of us who were late to the party to feel stressed out when our experience in our Griffin rta's werent as easy as the guy we saw in a YouTube tutorial. Of course this is just my take on the whole thing, but I assure you im not alone. Let me know if you had the same or similar experience w/ur Griffin

I just finished rebuilding my "topless" Griffin and decided to put in vertical coils. I put verticals in my Crius and loved it, so decided to try it in one of my Griffins. I put vertical claptons 26/32, 3mm id, reads at 0.45 ohms. I really like the airflow and flavor with these verticals.

Does anyone else have this machine mark on their Griffin? I contacted Geekvape about it, they admitted it looked like a mistake, but told me I have to send it back on my dime. That doesn't seem right to me so I'm just going to live with it. I am not impressed with their customer service despite having read how wonderful they are.

Have one on the chimney, never bother me enough to look into returning it.

Yeah it's not a huge deal, I thought maybe they would take care of it for me but oh well. Thanks, I feel a little better that I'm not the only one.

The alternative would be to kick up a fuss, which would cause you more stress than anyone else. If you've purchased it recently through a local B&M store, you'd have an easier time dealing with them. It may still be a little stressful nonetheless.

Regardless, it still looks sexy. How does it vape? ;)

Wow, atomizers do more than I thought these days! Is there one that can make breakfast and pick up around the house? If so, I may trade in my wife.
I'm not quite sure about the state of things in your household, but I'm absolutely certain you shouldn't sleep with your vape gear. Please exercise battery safety ;p

It vapes really well. I certainly cannot complain about that. I'm still experimenting with builds. I just did a 24ga SS316l 3mm 10 wrap. 22 ohm. I've tried it at all different temp settings and straight wattage. Vapor production is excellent, flavor is crisp but muted compared to the 28ga parallel kanthal 3mm 8 wrap at .44 ohms. I tried a fused clapton, but didn't like it much. I'm thinking I should have just stuck with the 28ga parallel. LOL

The mark on it isn't worth arguing with them about. I thought they might help me out but, it's not worth the hassle of shipping it back on my dime, and who knows when I would get it back.

Could you post a pic of your wicking? Maybe something to do with that? That's my guess.

I think he's referring to the condensation on the mod, which is a result of the bottom air flow holes. I get that too, especially since I like to exhale into the atomiser before the inhale. If it's not broken, as in if it doesn't leak, don't try to fix it.
