As if the Griffin rta couldn't get any better, we now will have top airflow. This definitely looks like a response to the Gemini rta. Glad to see GeekVape make this as an add-on, rather than a totally new rta that needs to be purchased all over again!

Preorder for $8.90: GeekVape Griffin Top Airflow Set - SS

For the life of me I don't get the benefit of top airflow. Who wants to inhale more air? I want vapor and to control it where it's generated.

The Mt has slightly more airflow but for some reason the same build in both rta's runs better in the Griffin. Maybe it's because the Griffin is wicking better, idk.
If you have a Griffin already I wouldn't recommend getting a Mt rta, its not as easy to wick

@TheWestPole The only benefit I see behind top air flow in this atty is for people who want to vape really high wattages. The same applies for Gemini's Vaporesso. If I had that tank, I sure hope I am able to close off the top flow as it doesn't suit my vape.

Edit: Does the top air flow make the vape a little turbulent?

Would not anything. On the contrary, it would reduce the cloud to add more air to the vapor.
Your right, make it more wispy. You need less airflow for denser vapor. I run my troll with only 1 air slot open on the coil at 140 watts, sure it's pretty warm but it's extremely thick and dense vapor. I'm not a fan of top airflow at all, I prefer less

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but the Gemini RTA brings air from the top, down to the coils, and then back to your mouth from the coils. So it's not just to cool off vapor, but to increase it, too. Like the top airflow RDAs.

This looks to be the same.

So is that top airflow piece actually redirecting airflow down to the coil then back up, or is it just adding additional airflow similar to the tfv4 stock drip tip?

Goes down the Chimney, around the coil and back up through the chimney. So definitely not like TFV4
