What wire are you using and # of wraps please. Will try your setup.

I've been playing around with the mesh dimensions for the wick over the last week or so and after making seemingly endless wicks I've found one that's perfect for me 28x38mm. I've got a very thin tunnel through the middle and the rest of the wick is as loosely rolled as possible with a 28mm wide piece of #400 it wicks perfectly and the vapour production is incredible.

Here's a vid I just shot of it firing, I haven't taken a draw on it as I'm a bit on the camera shy side but the vapour production and flavour are fxcking unbelievable.

1.6ohm, 3.7v the juice is Inawera 'Dirty Base'...

It's just the standard #400 from the link Scope posted Del, I was just arsing about with the measurements is all. I went up to 38mm wide, no good, doesn't wick, neither does 35mm... When I took it down to 28mm it fogged out my living room and the TH nearly ripped my head off :D

I don't have that much experience so I'm not saying it couldn't be something else but the difference in 28mm over 24mm was a bit noticeable.. I made the tunnel through the middle of the wick very narrow and rolled the wick as loosely as I could, it's working well for me, I'm not claiming it's anything revolutionary mind lol..

I only took the vid because my camera was at hand and I had nothing better to do at the time

Maz what I noticed with your setup (in between the waving Line) was you had a good chimney up past the wire.
I had made one like Rawveg's video, it worked but so so. I re-made it more like yours and it works great. My thought its the chimney and I looked at Stefanos and it has a good chimney also..

I also made a wire wrap tool, it works great on my Maxi but I need to make another one for the Line the wires are much shorter than the Maxi. It is a breeze now for me to re-wire my Maxi and soon will be the same for my Line.
The Maxi I have used up 2 batteries and it it is still at 1.8ohms. The line is at 1.6ohms and will see in the days ahead if it will stay but I'm pretty sure it will. Here is a link to ECI where I have continued my thread on wire wrapping. :)

I am unable to link directly, if you select the above and then open the link and login it will bring you there..

Sometimes I am defeated...

Also these are my first rebuildable atties and definetly not my last. They are great..

That wrapping tool is a stroke of genius! I'll stick doing it my hand as I don't have any problems but that looks like it could be invaluable to some of the folks that for one reason or another, do..

You may be right about the "chimney", I didn't think about it. I started doing it this way habitually after a comment by Eyebrook about leaving a decent amount of wick above the coil as he said it reduces the chances of dry hits. It stood to reason in my mind as there is wick either side of the coil that way. I know I certainly noticed another difference with the extra 4mm width in mesh though, anyway whatever actually is helping this thing work the way it is I am not changing anything in the future, this is my set-up from now on :)

I'm not claiming to have any knowledge of these atomisers BTW, just trying to share what I am finding along the way, it might be crap for all I know  seems to work for me though..

This Line is a beast, easily the best atty I have used in my four years vaping. Van I am in awe, Del thanks for shouting about it, I'd have missed it otherwise..
