OK. My problem was the wire. I ordered 2 different sizes to play around and experiment. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the 36 awg to make a coil that would last longer than about 2 minutes. Once I got the 32 awg (0.20mm) everything changed. The first coil worked perfectly, 3-4 wraps and 1.7 ohms. I did accidentally crush my first wick, so it's not wicking exactly like I want it to, but I have made others. I feel sure that the others will be fine.

Did you see Rawveg video instructions on how to make a setup for the Line?
I use 0.15 on provari and have no problems. With 0.20 i could not get provari to work with Line like it should.
I made 5-6 wraps for 2.4Ohm with 0.20 , but with 0.15 , 3-4 wraps i get stable 2.4Ohm every time.

What gauge needle did rawveg use in that video? It looks like a 20 gauge due to the yellow base but it sounded like he mumbled "10 gauge".

I've been playing around with the mesh dimensions for the wick over the last week or so and after making seemingly endless wicks I've found one that's perfect for me 28x38mm. I've got a very thin tunnel through the middle and the rest of the wick is as loosely rolled as possible with a 28mm wide piece of #400 it wicks perfectly and the vapour production is incredible.
Here's a vid I just shot of it firing, I haven't taken a draw on it as I'm a bit on the camera shy side but the vapour production and flavour are fxcking unbelievable.
