I like to think of them as "auto-dripping" tanks. You can drip on them if you would like, but it's not the purpose of the design. Most people use Stainless Steel mesh to wick from said tank, but I have personally gotten decent results using cotton. Although it is a very wet vape, lots of popping. SS seems like the way to go. Because you can wrap your own coils on either one, you can get very similar, if not the exact same performance between the two. So it's all up to preference! What are you using at the moment if you don't mind me asking?

I have a mix of iClear 30 and 30s, Pro Tank 2, MT3 and some knock offs. I have found the slow air draw to be ideal for myself, so the 30's and MT3 just sit. The Pro Tank and 30 regular are my current tanks. And to get something that is adjustable would make it an ideal solution. i would rather spend a little more and only buy once. I have an EGO C Twist, MVP2 and a Innokin SVD on the way. Its cost me as much as smoking did financially anyway but I am hoping to reap the benefits down the road once the set ups are paid for :)
P.S. I keep hearing about the cotton being ideal and noticed some tanks have larger holes for mesh etc... I was leaning towards those new cotton Biowicks possibly.

Im using an RSST with silica wick (3mm) in the tank to the bed of cotton, horizontal coil (30ga 1.8 ohm) with cotton pulled thru coil. I agree a very nice moistness to the vape, I prefer the moist vape.

My sister lives in SLC :)

The moist vape is definitely good when I'm in the mood! Need to get some 28g for more wraps, can't get my target voltage with 30.

It's a great area to live, although I'm actually a bit south of downtown. Down the street from Big and Little Cottonwood canyons, perfect access for the mountains and I love it here!
