So what is a genuine eGo? As far as I know joyetech made the original? For the new vaper this can be quite overwhelming given the saturated online market of "eGos" from all over the place, priced from 39.99 to 129.99. As a newbi, I first bought from best.........., the device was terrible. Then I bought from .........., which was a much better unit that worked way better and was covered in a soft rubbery grip. So "eGo" is the term to describe an eGo-like model but doesn't necessarily represent a certain companies product?

u can get it cheaper in china but if u want to be sure u will get it , and u want it within a couple days its just easier to grab from canada , i personally have never had a package nabbed on me but many have

i really like the ego passthrough battery from happyvaper.com because u can plug it into ur usb on your computer or car charger and still use it then when u unplug it u still have a 650 mah (5-7 hours for me )

All the genuine joytech stuff have a neat joytech logo on them now.
New Joye eGo starter kit with 2 atomizers - Joye eGo starter kits Heaven Gifts
650mAh Joye eGo-T starter kit with Type A atomizers - Joye eGo-T starter kits Heaven Gifts

These contain no nicotine and if you don't order juice with them you will not have trouble importing them, that being said they could sit in customs for a while before you get them. I have 4 1000mAh usb passthru joytech eGo's that have been sitting in customs for 9 days now.

I'm sick of Egos... I'm sure all brands of ecigs have a lifespan that leaves much to be desired, but I've had 5 now since April(ish) and they’ve all bit the dust within a couple months. My original 2 just stopped charging, all the other 3 ended up with serious and unresolvable button issues.

I only have one left, and it’s two weeks old. The button is buggered on it too! It constantly turns on for no reason, so if I’m vaping I have to unscrew the atty every time, otherwise it will sit, turn on and start burning juice.

I’ve been recommending the Ego to a lot of people, and I just don’t know what’s up and down anymore. I’m not hard on my devices. It lives in my chest pocket and only falls to the ground once or twice.

Thank God I decided to buy a couple mods. Hopefully they will last longer than 2 months too.

Just as I’m writing this a coworker asked me what it was, so I showed her and put it down. The damn thing didn’t turn off and started smoking. There’s a good endorsement eh? Hey try out this cheap Chinese ecig that won’t turn off.

That's weird man I my ego from 2 years ago just died last night and I'm really hard on my passthrough I've dropped it 20 ft froma scissor lift lol and it's still working good even the pastrough plug still works good I still don't think u can beat an ego as a starter but I think we should just recommend a mod from day 1 ha ha , pretty strange

Me too, whats up with that. My first set one of the batteries buttons fell off and if you try to click it manually with something it just stays onlike it's going to blow up. ,and from my new kit one of the buttons just doesn't work anymore, you click it and nothing happens. I'm pretty dissapointed with the button thing aswell I was pretty carefull with them.

The button is arguably the most important piece, and I think 5 Egos is enough for a small sample set. All 5 are garbage. It can't be hard to get right. A button isn't a new invention.

Sounds a bit like planned obsolescence eh? Keep em coming back every few months instead of annually.

I just don't get why I'm having bad luck with them. Maybe leaking is killing the button? Just give me my BB and Reo Grande already. .......n Canada Post.

I need a smoke. FFS.

haven't had one die yet. my bud still uses my original equipment.

I think most of my problems were from overfilling and having juice run into the button and then soak the little computer chip behind it. Since I haven't been being a juice slob this ego I have is performing like a champ.

I have been using the same battery since Feb and haven't had any issues with it other than the outer black rubber covering getting scractched and looking ugly. Still functions the same as the day I got it. I think it must either be a juice leaking issue or perhaps they're not genuine egos. Knock offs can be made pretty cheaply. Also, what one person thinks is "not being rough" could be completely different than what others think. You may be pressing the button much harder than is needed and not be realizing it, causing it to have problems. I've seen very few people complain about the ego being as badly as described here, so I'm not sure I agree.
