Getting allot of vapor without burning the juice

I've got these E2 R4 cartos, and I have been vaping VG juice. Still trying to be careful not to overdrive the atty, but I keep burning the e-liquid when I take a big puff. Is that because it is VG? Would I be better off with a vg pg mix or just straight pg, or a higher ohm carto? I'm using a standard 510 batt with a 2.8 ohm R4, just tired of having to clean my cartos all the time. I also noticed when you take out the inner seal, it has a tendancy to leak, even when it lined back up properly. Thinking of a way to jet off the wick using a syringe and vodka without removing the inner seal.

Check out the technical issues and mod forum on these, lost of information about the E4. The only information I can give you from my personal experience on these is they are consistently inconsistent. I ordered a box and tried 4 so far. The 1st one was never right from the first vape, got a burning plastic taste no matter what I tried. The next 3 were better but required constant care with how I puffed, tilted the PV, turned my head etc etc. I'm using the 4th now and so far it's been great but I keep expecting that to change on the next vape. I've found you have to wait a while in between draws, seems it doesn't wic very well and shaking the carto in between draws helps also, at least for me.

When these things work right they are awesome, best cartos by far I've tried but the good times are random, with me at least. Many have done all kinds of mods on them to improve things and if you're into that kinda thing it should help.

Kind of an update, I got my 3 Ohm R4s today and they have been working like a champ, not getting too hot, and have been producing good vapor.
