So I have 4 batteries total...2 901 900 and 2 901 1100 Riva batts. The 900's for Eastmall, the 1100's from Canvape.

Bottom line, I've been using 1 of each for about 7 days now, have charged both 1 time. Now all of a sudden, they will not charge. Either the light on charger goes off entirely, or it remains green, or it goes red and doesn't charge....just continuously does something different. They blink 3 times fast, sometimes 5 times fast...I have no idea whats going on.

The other 2 batts seems to go on the charger, it turns red, but will not charge period. I'm probly going to order another charger to see if that works, but I guess my question to you guys is...what PV should I purchase to avoid these kinds of things in the future?

I don't care about size, or cost..as long as its a CAD vendor. I just don't feel like having my PV crap out on me at inopportune times, forcing me to have an analogue. I had to smoke one today because nothing was working, and it honestly disgusted me.

Any help?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Don't work with 510 boge carto's, or with 901 atty, or even with stardust.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I've already dished out tons of cash on 2 Riva kits, and my initial 510 kit....thinking I was going to be good to go for awhile. Gave the 510 to my gf, which is still working fine ironically...and now all these Riva batteries are failing(Edit: After less then 2 weeks.).

I'll probably buy the Lavatube if no one has any other suggestions...not sure how I would fit the stardust on though? Nvm, found 510-510 extender.

A single 510 adapter will be to short and two together will leave a gap under the stardust the 510 to ego adapter is what is most recommended but each to their own. I am a mod ..... and as such I have every style of adapter I could find, the 510 to ego worked best for me but 2 510's will work fine just will not look as nice.

Oh I've cleaned the batteries and the charger with qtips, bunched up paper towel, toilet paper...etc. I tried lifting the center piece on the battery slightly...every trick in the book that I could find on these forums. Nothing has worked.

Even the 2 batts I never used are refusing to charge at all now.I'm hoping its the charger, and that the new one will at least charge them so I can get some use of them.

Edit: Thanks for the tip though.

Can you try contacting the company you bought them from? Maybe they could refund or send a replacement. Then if you decide you'd rather use the lavatube, at least you could sell the Rivas in the classies.

ETA: Okay, went back and read your original post again... you probably wouldn't get anywhere with Eastmall, but Canvape might be able to do something for you.

Yeah I have a feeling it might be the charger, so I'm going to try with the new one I just bought from Canvape with my Lavatube order. I'm sure if it doesn't work thereafter Tom would be willing to help me out with the batteries. I'm not going to cry over a defective charger if that is the case, but if it's the batteries, this is a different story.

Edit: I wanted to get a Lavatube eventually anyway, so it's not a total waste.

Is the lavatube not 510 threaded...as is the stardust. So would a 510-510 extender not work better?

510-510

Remember that with a 510-Ego connector, you could also use the cone from the Rivas you already have as a pseudo drip-shield on the LT.

One thing I found with these chargers is there is also a centre piece on the charger that can get pushed in. Mine would charge some batteries fine but do nothing on some others. I gently moved the centre piece out a tad and it then worked fine for all the batteries. Something to try. Hope it all works out for you.
