My rant just cost me 5 likes. Guess some folks now question my patriotism.

The medical community can't even figure it out themselves. They say that nicotine makes cancer cells grow faster because it opens up the blood flow. Then they turn around and say that nicotine constricts blood flow and creates heart disease.
What to believe? Probably something in the middle. Everything in moderation eh? Life sucks.

So...well yah um.
The issue boils down to this really which is lack of education for those that don't vape, media trash campaigns and rude vapors that want to own their space without respect for others (yah, I said it).
Really, I mean be the bigger person if someone jumps up in your business and walk away. Trust me they will look like the bigger idiot ranting at someone not paying any mind to them. If you know your in the right then some calm and informative education will help the issue out and may actually bring another person to our defense when all the legal landslide comes rolling down by the FDA. I can understand being asked not to vape by a hospital or in it really, in this case just follow the rules as any smoker would and be outside in the designated area or area's that are for smoking. This isn't to be mean, rude or disrespectful to you however your in a place that has immune compromised people, this also applies to allergies that they may suffer will be 10 times worse (I get to the point of almost full blown reaction from my dogs when I'm sick, normally I don't even need to take meds to handle them).
I understand the workings of sprinkler systems and how they are "Set off" however the smoke alarms do not work the same as a sprinkler system, the alarms are electronic and rely on particle detection methods that will pick up vapor, even though the sprinkler system wouldn't be set off and dumping water the alarm would go off and cause a headache for the building maintenance. Thinking 3 steps ahead is how you win a chess and also how you can understand life in general.
We all live inside our own box wanting our own space and our own rules, we often times don't step out of that box and wonder how it may be affecting others around us. I would say that we live in a society where focusing on the "Me" has taken over looking out for the "Us" in society, I've seen it in more then just the vaping community and its not hard to find reading the daily paper. We need to put our best foot forward for now and show the world that vapers are not the horrible people that the media has painted us to be, maybe then we can work towards the goal of proper education and putting out revenant and truthful information to the general public. Sadly the first thing that a group is weighed on is the actions of its individuals, this has been and will be the standard norm for most people.

Happened to me in Costa Rica. Got the lighter confiscated at the airport. The resort was non-smoking you had to get outside its limits. Last tickets ever to Costa Rica. They can have all the pura vida they want, I won't interfere any more.

its their perceived perception of harm that is the
wrong here. this time its their turn to give me a
me a little slack. i do not blow vapor into anyone's
face nor did i when i smoked.
i believe its time to say this has got to stop.
if they can ban vaping with no no real evidence
the next thing down the road they'll need no
evidence at all.
its time the general public finds out they wont have
a minority they can kick to the curb anymore.

Now, now..I beg to differ, Madam. It isn't life that sucks.
Life is a wonderful, beautiful gift from the cosmic architect.
It's like an open book or take home test where you can cheat if you want to.
Unfortunately there are some kids in the cosmic class like the kids
who peek over your shoulder in school when you're taking a final exam
and get you busted for cheating even when you weren't cheating and knew all the answers.
It's they along with the bullies that want to pick on you
only 'cause you're hair is long who SUCK.
I refuse to let any of those other kids ruin my school spirit.

That's very true, and it really shows most violently in how non-smokers treat smokers nowadays -- I completely understand *NOW* how bad it smells to those who don't smoke, and yeah, it's really awful (garbage fire with some fecal matter thrown in for good measure), but they are so concentrated on what THEY want, they don't give a SINGLE thought to how all the smoking bans affect those who truly need that smoke -- their attitude is that self-righteous 'well it's not good for you anyway, so just stop'.
As if smokers have a switch in their heads they can just flip, to oblige everyone else. I don't like the smell at all anymore, and I didn't even smoke in my own premises, the last 16 yrs I smoked -- but there is STILL an ashtray on my front porch, for anyone who might visit who's a smoker. Yeah I'd really prefer if they went out to the end of the driveway to indulge, so the smell isn't right there at the front door -- but unlike most of the never-smokers, I am NOT a self-involved monster! Smokers have needs too, and I wouldn't want to make them suffer unnecessarily -- just having to go outside to indulge is bad enough, especially in the winter or the REALLY hot days of summer!
I've thought for years that the Smoke Nazis just need to get over themselves, and that hasn't changed one iota even though I no longer smoke.

My partner from dog training days sold the biz and moved to Costa Rica.
He's importing attack dogs from the US so he comes and goes.
Their import duties are ridiculous. So rather than take a new car down he
got an old jalopy and rebuilt it so it looks like an old piece of junk but drives like a new caddy.
I see him whenever he comes up and he tries to get me to move down but I
think I'd rather be a commie here than there. (no, I'm not a commie, mommy)
