Recommended read of the day: Psychological Warfare by Paul Linebarger. Which also happen to be the given name of one of my favorite sci-fi authors, Cordwainer Smith.

It's essentially THE book on propaganda, vilifying unwanted minorities and shaping public opinion. Some may find it a worthwhile read.

The author himself has quite an interesting story.

We may not agree with all the rules or ordinances but we have to live together. So say someone is working at the drive thru and a customer pulls up with the inside of their car filled with smoke or vapor. The drive thru worker shouldnt have to breath smoke or vapor for doing their job because your car is billowing clouds of smoke or vapor. This is the basis of most of these ordinances. Smoking and vaping are going to be treated the same in most public places regardless if we like it or not.

If the real reason were to be workers health, then they should have banned drive throughs altogether. Think exhaust gases.

It's nothing but minority oppression - just because they can - and they are immensely enjoying it.

Alternatively, if you don't have the time to read it, think "Holocaust".

As a Brit I get confused about the US anytime we see your politicians on TV they are always talking about freedom either protecting it or working to introduce it all over the place and over the last couple of years I've got the impression many ordinary Americans seem to have a lot of stuff limited or restricted. Now in the UK we hold most politicians in total contempt as self serving trough feeders who wouldn't know honesty if it punched them in the face but on vaping for once they are being intelligent it's very disconcerting. They are waiting on studies and consulting the medical profession as well as listening to vaping advocacy before coming to a conclusion although as things stand a minimum age, quality standards for liquids and a possible standard for hardware are likely as well as a level of taxation. If you'd have asked me which country would be harder on vaping without seeing forums I'd have said the US would be the better place to be a vaper but seems it's the opposite.

In the US, the main problem is that we are heading for another true revolution; for a long time I thought it would be the 99% against the 1%, but I'm starting to think it will be those who TRULY love and appreciate freedom, against those who will stop at NOTHING to oppress us into THEIR version of "good health" and "political correctness" and "for the children", etc etc etc ad nauseam...

But so far, the fascists have not managed to repeal the 2nd amendment, so if they think we're going to just lay down, they're in for a very rude shock.

Definitely feel things shifting & changing not feeling proud of myself for vaoing anymore

And that is just sad to me. That means that the oppressors are winning. :(
They are able to make those, that are trying to do something better for themselves, feel like they are not worth the effort.

I am going to post this link to a post that Rolygate made. There is a LOT of truth in this post.

I guess one could lobby Congress for an amendment to the Constitution to include vaping, but I don't see that going anywhere...

I was thinking the same thing before you posted that.

Funny how some didnt care about smokers but now that vaping is seen as smoking by the public some vapors want to be a protected class.

More than likely they were like me and bought into the lies that were spewed about smoking, or more specifically, second hand smoke.

I see them using the same tactics against vaping. It may have taken me a while to wake up but I have and I am fighting back now.
